Yes!!! definitly you get pregnet. these hormonal changes will occur for everybody during some other phase of every women's life. It is sad that it happened now to you when you are trying to conceive.
There are hormones LH, LSH which controls the menses cycle.
this cycle will includes the formation of the lining, ovulation or egg release, if sperm enters the egg fertilization, then implantation, otherwise break down of the lining resulting in menses again.
There are two hormones produced by the ovaries during ovulation:
oestradiol and progesterone.
Together, these two hormones create conditions which assist in fertilization.
Progesterone causes fertilizing more likely, and allows the semen to survive longer than it would anywhere else.
Progesterone also prepares for implantation of the fertilized ovum.
Progesterone also responsible for the shedding of the endometrium (where implantation occurs), helping to prevent miscarriage in the early weeks of pregnancy.
progesterone is also responsible for the increase in body temperature at ovulation that lasts through most of the luteal phase.
Low progesterone can be detected by a blood test after ovulation or by charting fertility. Another sign of low progesterone is a shortened luteal phase that lasts less than 10 days.
To get pregnant your luteal phase should be greater than 10 days upto 14 days.
You have done a very good thing to correct the progesterone by taking the
fertility drug like Clomid.
There are also natural progesterone creams available that may help in preparing the uterine wall for implantation of the fertilized egg and sustain the endometrium.
You said you are having a healthy cycle earlier. Now only your menses is irregular. did you undergo any severe drug course for any other disease? Or did you diet sieverly causing dramtaic weight-loss or weight-gain. these sometimes alter your menses cycle.
Unless you correct your cycle the chanses of getting pregnant is very difficult. So first concentrate to regularise your cycle by taking the medicines and excercise and weight-correcting programmes.
You are constantly predicting the ovulation also, keep trying to conceive. Anyhow keep patience. Dont set your goals to the next month are within two months etc. wait calm think positively, you will definetly get a +ve result.

Pregnancy cannot occur on low progesterone lvls.
There are also natural progesterone creams available that may help in preparing the uterine wall for implantation of the fertilized egg and sustain the endometrium.
Women with a history of miscarriage can use natural progesterone cream as soon as they know they have ovulated, to supplement their own progesterone.

there have some variation in the duration and due date at times in the life time. Of course, since they have fewer cycles every year, the number of times they are "fertile" in a year is decreased. Also, they need to monitor their fertile period more closely, since this is delayed (as compared to women with a 30 day cycle). I realize your first priority is conception, you must keep in mind that when you don't menstruate, your body probably doesn't produce enough estrogen. So it's essential you supply your body with the hormones it has stopped manufacturing If your periods are regular, you have a good chance of conceiving on your own. More often you have sex, the better your chances of getting pregnant. By proper treatment and medication it is possible to get conceived. Get an appointment with a specialist. You are also advised to reduce body weight according to your height if it now in excess.

Hello,
Sometimes, woman with low progesterone will miscarry. Progesterone is the hormone that maintains the pregnancy until the placenta is developed (at around 11 weeks). If the progesterone level is low, the pregnancy may not survive. For that reason, we usually give progesterone supplementation (either suppositories or pills) until 12 weeks gestation. If the HCG value rose, the baby probably has a heartbeat. However, if the HCG value is too high, it can indicate some trophoblastic disease (Molar pregnancy) which is non viable and dangerous. A sonogram will show what is going on. Be optimistic. Good luck to you.
Natural progesterone, a cholesterol derivative, comes from Mexican yam or soybean. It matches exactly the chemical formulation of the body’s own progesterone.
Manufacturers alter the chemical makeup of progesterone in order to create progestins. Progestins in their altered molecular structure may cause many side effects, such as birth defects or abortion, fluid retention, epilepsy, migraine, asthma, cardiac or kidney disfunction, and depression.

Dear Anonymous,normal level of progesterone in an ovulating woman is 8 to 10, but can be as high as 20 ng/ml in the midluteal (middle of the second half of the cycle)and an anovulatory cycle is a menstrual cycle in which ovulation fails to occur. This means that you do bleed but do not release an egg or ovulate. Hence the term anovulation. This is normally supposed to happen during menopause. If it does happen before then anovulation translates into difficulty in conception or infertility. Anovulatory cycles tend to occur occasionally throughout the childbearing years, but are most common during adolescence and in the years before menopause ("perimenopause").
A progesterone test is done to confirm ovulation. When a follicle releases its egg, it becomes what is called a corpus luteum and produces progesterone. A level over 5 probably indicates some form of ovulation, but most doctors want to see a level over 10 on a natural cycle, and a level over 15 on a medicated cycle.
ome say the test may be more accurate if done first thing in the morning after fasting.
If, however, it is deemed that the follicle development is inadequate, then patients may be given ovulatory stimulants such as Clomid, which help the follicle to mature. When the follicle matures appropriately, the chance of producing a higher quality egg increases.
Treatments for anovulatory cycles vary based on the underlying cause of the condition and other factors like age and medical history. For many infertile women with anovulation, treatment with one or another of fertility drugs can be remarkably successful. Clomiphene citrate (Clomid) is often a good first choice for an anovulatory woman who is producing estrogen.
If clomiphene alone is unsuccessful, Pergonal is added to bolster the attempts to ripen a follicle. Pergonal bypasses the natural hormone stimulation of the pituitary on the ovary. It applies stimulation directly to the ovary, and then, once a follicle grows to sufficient size, HCG is used as the final step to release the egg.
Pergonal is a natural purified product.
It consists of two hormones, FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone) which are gonadotropin or sex hormones originating in the pituitary gland.The hormones in Pergonal stimulate the ovaries to develop mature follicles, which contain eggs.
As you can see the chances of your getting pregnant are pretty good,and the advancements of medical science will make it all the more posiible.
As I always say keep a positive mind and it will send positive vibes which helps you achieve whatever you desire

Progesterone is a C-21 steroid hormone involved in the female menstrual cycle, pregnancy (supports gestation) and embryogenesis of humans and other species. Progesterone belongs to a class of hormones called progestagens, and is the major naturally occurring human progestagen.
Progesterone should not be confused with progestins, which are synthetically produced progestagens
Progesterone is naturally secreted by the ovary in the second two weeks of the menstrual cycle in reproductive age ovulating women. Progesterone or progesterone-like substances called progestogens or progestins are also ingested by women in birth control pills, menopausal hormone replacement therapy, or just sometimes to induce a menstrual period or regulate abnormal bleeding problems if menses are skipping or bleeding is irregular or prolonged. Progesterone has been used also as therapy for PMS syndrome and for women with infertility or frequent pregnancy loss
Progesterone has the identical chemical structure to the substance made in a woman's body by the ovarian corpus luteum (gland formed after an egg is ovulated each month). Actually the progesterone is now synthetically made but it behaves as best we know, just like the body's natural progesterone once it is absorbed into the blood stream. This is to be distinguished from synthetic progesterone-like chemicals called progestogens which bind to the body's progesterone receptors and function for the most part, just like progesterone. Because they are chemically different than natural progesterone, they sometimes have side effects or actions that are different than progesterone.
Progestogens were originally developed because they were capable of being absorbed into the blood when ingested in pill form, whereas progesterone itself was not orally absorbed. Recently, however, it has been found that micronization of progesterone (making very tiny crystals of the progesterone) enhances absorption from the gastrointestinal tract. Thus micronized progesterone is now sometimes being used for menopausal hormone replacement therapy instead of progestogens. Birth control pills still have progestogens as the active progesterone-like component
What are the effects of too little or too much progesterone?
Progesterone acts to stabilize the tissue lining of the uterus (endometrium) so if it is absent, such as with ovarian anovulation, irregular and heavy menstrual bleeding often occurs after a period without any menstrual bleeding. Thus progesterone is used to prevent this irregularity of bleeding if it is given continuously. If, on the other hand, a onetime bolus of progesterone is given such as with a shot or with only 5 days of oral pills, then the falling progesterone levels will actually cause an estrogen-primed endometrium to slough and therefore start a menses.
Too much progesterone often causes tiredness and even sedation. This side effect can be beneficial in a women who has epilepsy or even uterine irritability causing preterm labor because progesterone in high doses can decrease seizure activity and uterine contractions.
Progesterone tends to promote vaginal dryness by counteracting the effect on lubrication of estrogens and it can also decrease the amount of menstruation or block it entirely by reversing estrogen effect on the growth of the uterine lining. If a woman has stopped having menses on a birth control pill, the progestogen component needs to be decreased if menstrual bleeding is desirable.
So there is nothing you have to worry about this. You will have a successful pregnancy and a good baby as well.
All the very best

Dear,
Surely you will get pregnant soon.How confident I say like this is, one of my friend had the same problem.But now she is a mom for 11 months old baby.so don't worry!The best chance for concieving is 14th to 25th day after your period.Also frequent intercourse helps to get pregnant.So don't lose your hope.
Information about Progestron...
What Part Does Progesterone Play In Ovulation?
Progesterone is vital female hormone central to successful conception and a healthy pregnancy.
The word progesterone is itself etymologically related to the Latin root gestare - meaning to bear or carry - suggesting the importance of this hormone in creating a fertile environment for conception and the gestation of the baby.
There are two hormones produced by the ovaries during ovulation:
oestradiol and progesterone.
Together, these two hormones create conditions which assist in fertilization.
Progesterone causes the abrupt change in the mucus which occurs immediately after ovulation and defines the Peak symptom.
This makes fertilizing more likely, and allows the semen to survive longer than it would anywhere else.
Progesterone also prepares for implantation of the fertilized ovum.
Progesterone also forestalls the shedding of the endometrium (where implantation occurs), helping to prevent miscarriage in the early weeks of pregnancy.
progesterone is also responsible for the increase in body temperature at ovulation that lasts through most of the luteal phase.
Low progesterone can be detected by a blood test after ovulation or by charting fertility. Another sign of low progesterone is a shortened luteal phase that lasts less than 10 days.
There are several things you can do to boost the progesterone level. One is to go to the doctor and get a prescription for progesterone or a fertility drug like Clomid.
There are also natural progesterone creams available that may help in preparing the uterine wall for implantation of the fertilized egg and sustain the endometrium.
Women with a history of miscarriage can use natural progesterone cream as soon as they know they have ovulated, to supplement their own progesterone.
Ovulation and Trying to Conceive
Through personal experience as well as research - it has been found that if you have sex near the time of ovulation your chances of conceiving are the greatest. Learning how to tell when your body is ovulating is the key.
To determine when it is that you ovulate - you determine when your next period is due and count back 12 to 16 days. This gives you a the number of days when a woman most likely begins ovulating.
Using an ovulation calendar or over-the-counter predictor does the work for you, but learning as much as you can about your OWN body is also recommended.
There will be changes in your cervical mucus. The amount of cervical mucus increases as well as the texture.
The more mucus and change in texture, indicates the rising levels of estrogen It is considered a woman is at her most fertile when the mucus resembles raw egg whites.
It is this mucus, resembling raw egg whites, which coats the path that the sperm will take on it's journey through the uterus, into the fallopian tubes and to your eggs.
Your body temperature will rise.
After you have ovulated, your temperatures can increases, and that's what the basal body temperature thermometer detects. When your temperature rises sharply, it means you have ovulated and your body has released the egg. This stimulates the production of the hormone progesterone, which makes your body temperature elevate.
A woman is at her most fertile those 2 to 3 days before her temperature rises, and sometimes it takes up to 2 days AFTER ovulation for the progesterone to rise enough to raise your body's temperature.
This is why it is always recommended that you chart your temperature each morning for a few months. The better you are able to detect a pattern and pinpoint your likely ovulatory date, the better your chances are.
Lower abdominal discomfort.
There are women actually can feel when their bodies are ovulating. The feelings are said to range from mild aches to severe pain, and can last from a short minute up to a couple of hours.

Hi,
Since u have regular periods u may not have problem in getting pregnant. Using ovulation kit u can easily predict ur day of ovulation which wld in
approximate fall between day 17-24 in ur case for a 35-40 day cycle. As u r using clomid it may have a little variation which u can make out using ovulation kit as well observing ur cervical mucus which wld appear transperant and very slippery streachable from thumb to ur forefinger. U can observe ur basal temperature too. Just before ovulation u wld see an increase in the temperature slightly. Make sure u take the basal temp first thing in the morning as soon as u wake up. This way u can predict ovulation and thus have an intercourse 24-36 hrs after ur LH surge is shown on the ovulation kit.
u said progesterone is low... As such progesterone comes into picture when oestrogen is lowered and that wld be after 2 weeks of ur cycle and not to worry coz with the help of ur blood test, the doctor wld induce progestrone if its low again which increases ur chances of pregnancy.
You can find a lot of info on the internet. U can visit the following sites for the best info.

Hey Anon,
Few questions before I can suggest you any info or advices ,
1) What is Size of Ovaries ?
2) Was any Cyst found during Ultrasound/SGY ?
3) Did you pass through any sort of test called as "Endometriosis.Test" ?
4) Before these Ovulation Test which came void these time,how many times did you had before gone for Ovulation test, Did it come normal with either or Ovaries producing eggs & Ovulating ?
IMP:(It isn't necessary that Girl ovulates regularly every month and neither its necessary that both ovaries should ovulate one egg each)
5) What is level of your rest of Hormones viz FSH(Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) , Leutenizing Hormone (LH),GnRH
?
6)Did you husband go through Sperm count and Sperm test ? Might be at times its both Egg & Sperms (Weak sperm or Low count sperms that may be causing less conception chances )
Reasons ,Symptoms ,Results of Low Progesterone
Progesterone is a steroid hormone made by the ovary at ovulation and in low amounts by the adrenal glands. Progesterone is manufactured in the body from the steroid hormone pregnenolone, and is a precursor to most of the other steroid hormones, including cortisol, androstenedione, the estrogens and testosterone. When there is a low progesterone level, it needs to be replaced. The most important role of progesterone is to balance or oppose the effects of estrogen.
When progesterone levels are low the following symptoms may occur:
* Depression
* Decreased libido
* Fibrocystic breasts
* Food and sugar cravings
* Uterine fibroids
* Irregular or excessive uterine bleeding
* Endometriosis
* PMS
* Infertility
* Weight gain
* Increased blood clotting
* Thyroid dysfunction
Three symptoms of low progesterone include early disintegration of the corpus luteum, poor follicle production, and the failure of the uterine lining to respond to normal levels of progesterone, which may cause a miscarriage.
One way to determine if low progesterone is the problem is by charting your basal body temperature.
If the temperature drops early after ovulation, usually before the tenth day, there might be a problem with progesterone levels.
Another way to determine if there is enough progesterone to sustain the pregnancy is with an endometrial biopsy.
This is a test where a small section of uterine tissue is removed during the second half of a woman’s cycle to determine if it is developing correctly.
Why Clomid is taken ???
Clomid is actually quite a potent and somewhat complicated medication. It is capable of reacting with all of the tissues in the body that have estrogen receptors. These tissues include hypothalamus, pituitary, ovary, endometrium, vagina, and cervix. Clomid influences the way that the four hormones required for ovulation, GnRH, FSH, LH and estradiol, relate and interrelate. While we do not completely understand the mechanisms by which this drug works, in essence it appears that Clomid fools the body into believing that the estrogen level is low. This altered feedback information causes the hypothalamus (an area of the brain) to make and release more gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) which in turn causes the pituitary to make and release more
FSH and LH. More follicle stimulating hormone and more luteinizing hormone should result in the release of one or more mature eggs - ovulation.
Clomid Intake increase/Decrease & when ,what days?
When used for ovulation induction, Clomid is taken orally for approximately five days early in the menstrual cycle. Depending upon your clinic protocol this may start as early as day 3 or as late as day 5. It is important to remember that the first day of the menstrual cycle is the first day of normal bleeding, not spotting. Most women begin with an initial dose of one tablet (50 mg.) per day. This dose may be increased by your physician in subsequent cycles if pregnancy does not occur. Once ovulating, most pregnancies occur in the first 6 cycles of treatment. Clomid is said to be able to induce ovulation in as much as 85% of the women who use it, though only half of those will actually become pregnant. Most authorities agree that continuing for more than 6 ovulatory cycles in not likely to increase the chances of success.
At many clinics a pelvic examination or ultrasound is done each cycle shortly before starting on CC in order to determine if there are any ovarian or uterine abnormalities. Approximately 5% of women using Clomid will develop an ovarian cyst at some time during their treatment period. These cysts are benign and will usually resolve spontaneously without any treatment, but may cause discomfort. If you are using Clomid and do not have a menstrual period by cycle day 35, you may have failed to ovulate or you may be pregnant! In either event you need to schedule a visit to your doctor to ascertain what is happening. If you are not pregnant, your doctor may prescribe other medications to help bring on your period. Extended luteal phases (late periods, long cycles) are not uncommon on Clomid.
What are the side effects of Clomiphene?
Twin pregnancies may occur in as many as 5% of the women who use Clomid. Triplet pregnancies are far more rare. Other reported adverse effects include ovarian enlargement 13.6%,Vasomotor Flushes 10.4%, abdominal or pelvic discomfort, distention or bloating 5.5%, nausea and vomiting 2.2%, breast discomfort 2.1%, visual symptoms (blurred vision, lights, floaters, waves, unspecified visual complaints, photophobia, diplopia, scotoma, etc.) 1.5%, headache 1.3% and abnormal uterine bleeding (intermenstrual spotting, menorrhagia)
Did your OB&GYN discuss all these ,Side effects of Clomid,Increase or decrease of clomid and explain how ovulation takes place ,if no please refer following URL :

Personal Recommendation Instead of
KY Jelly or Astroglide or Replens try using Pre-seed lubricant next time during your intercourse,cause most of time's Sperms cant be motile in the above lub's and if they are motile upto 70% than they can't sustain life of 20-24 hours long ,so better use Pre-seed,it costs something around 170-180$ & can be used atleast 6-10 times,but it work wonders.
Am I /Will I be Pregnant : Well dear its really too early to say these cause mostly after using Clomid the success rate for Conception is around 25-40% not more.Better see the Cervical Mucus change,Measure your Leutal phase (14 days by default) and measure your basal temp ,if you get mid ovulation pain than yes you are pregnant and if you have leautal problem we recommend at times for few patients to watch leautal phases of Moon that also makes difference at times.Though its just natural remedy.

Hello, I', sorry you are going thru this. I understand your feelings completely as myself is trying to get pregnant for more than 2 years .
Low progestrone is caused by either you are ovulating or you do ovulate but not producing enough progestrone. Clomid will make you ovulate stronger and increase your progestrone levels thus help the embryo to implant well on your uterus.
Don't worry you will get pregnant. It is very common to have low progestrone. Did you take birth control pills before you started trying? The reason I'm asking is birth control pills stop producing progestrone. So if you did take birth control pills, it may take some time for your body to remember what is it supposed to do.
The consequences of low progestrone is that it needs to be higher for the embryo to implant and sustain the pregnancy. But the good news, it is fixable. I took clomid for 6 cycles unfortunately it didn't work for me. So you may want to start asking for other tests like
1. LH,FSH and Prolactin levels on your cycle day 3.
2. Semen analysis for your husband
3. HSG to make sure your tubes are clear.
4. Endometrical Biopsy
But make sure you drink lot of water while taking clomid since it would dry your cervical mucus. If your cervical mucus is very low or dry then you may want to use sperm friendly lubricant like preseed. You can get it from babyhopes.com.
Added to these to increase your cervical mucus, drink one or two cups of green tea and 1 1200MG evening primrose oil capsules 2 times a day from cycle day 3 to ovulation. After ovulation, drink one or two cups of red raspberry tea and take 1 1000MG
flax seed oil capsules 2 times a day. These you can get it in any Natural health stores like GNC...
You can also read the book 'Taking charge of you fertility' by Toni Weschler or 'Infertility Cure' by Randis Lewis. These are very good books and you will learn lot about your own body. You may want to join a message boards where you can chat with the other people who are going thru the same problems as you do. I personally like webmd.com. If you would like to chat more, feel free to contact me. my email is wannababy_ttc@yahoo.com

Hi,
Its a good thing that you have foungd out about your problem and the possible solution early on.
Progesterone is the hormone which maintains the lining of the uterus to allow for implantation. When the progesterone is low, it generally means that a woman has either not ovulated or is ovulating very poorly.
but this is easy to solve.To improve ovulation, clomid is given. Make sure that your physician rechecks your progesterone on the clomid to insure that improvement is demonstrated
If the ovary is capable of producing such eggs, then your progesterone levels will increase, and pregnancy will be more likely. Your doctor has already put you on suitable drugs. Progesterone levels should start increasing the same month that you begin using drugs.Wait for a few months .If after afew months there seems to be no results you should see a fertility expert, who will be able to change your medication.
At the same time dont be over anxious, and tense about this. THe emotional state and physical condition of the body also effects ovulation. In fact too much tension and stress can delay the ovulation cycle. Relax, trust in god,enjoy your life.You will be blessed with a beautiful baby soon.
