Subject: life insurance

Dear Friends I am an Insurance agent selling Life insurance policies and ULIP plans. I live at a small town where most of the people are farmers having agriculture income as base and business community is also . Most of the locality is semi-literate. I want to know what should be my marketing strategy to attract customers toward life insurance. Here i want to mention that i have a complete access to database of telephone no (more than 25000 Landline as well as mobile) and address of local city as well as nearby areas. Meaning to say is that i have complete addresses of these persons. So i want expert guidance on how can i attract more and more people towards life insurance?

Dear Suman,

Its nice to hear that you have come-up to a Situation you want to make a carreer in a place striving for sucess in the tough field.

As mentioned by you, that you are from a small town, there is no private competition for you as of still.

For the Business community, your sales statergy can be focussed on Tax Rebate, Return of Investment and Security for the Money and the dependents. The business community shall not be a tough task to convince them.

Comming to the Agriculture segment, which is dominated by large part of the un-educated segments, you need to emphasis them on the Security of there Dependents and the Returns.

Well I can suggest that you can have the Pomphlets circulated around the town with your contact details and the Investment schmes for the locals.

Emphasis large on all the leads that you recieve for ex. if you are sending 1000 Papers you may get on 10-15 Queries and of this 1-2 may be a deal. But this works large and latter stage you will be in a situation where customer begets customer.

Personalising the service is very important, like u can collect the premium at their place and u can pay them at the Insurance office or if it is difficult ask them to send the amount to u and u can send the receipt to them

U should speak their language, that means most of the people would look for high returns, u must patiently explain the policy benefits to them....u can call of them at a particular place, use a black board and explain the policy benefits and invite doubts from them......All the Best
