Please do not use slokas for love affairs. If you are courageous, talk with your parents boldly. First you should think that your parents are not your enemies.

Hi Swarna,

Don't use Slokas for love. If you are not courageous to talk to your beloved parents about your marriage with your loved one, then what will you do if a problem occrs in future after marriage, who will support you & obviously you cannot solve your problem alone.

Be bold and talk to your beloved parents with patience and convince them if your loved one is really genuine.

Good Luck!

You can chant manthras to get a most suitable/good husband as per your wishes. When you chant such manthras, if God wishes He will make the lines clear to obtain a god husband for you. The result of your chanting and spiritual deeds, all it depends on how dedicated in chanting and spiritual faith you have. If you are strong enough to plea your side then ultimately your parents have to change their earlier stand by God’s grace.

To remove obstructions and difficulties you may chant this slokas regulary with dedicates and with full purity of mind and body: “Sakal vighna vyopahin nahin tehin” ”Rama sukripan bilokahin jehin” ”Sarva badha prashamanam trailokyasyakhileshvari” ”Evameva tvayakaryamasmad vairi binashanam” ”Om ram ram ram ram ram ro ro ram kashtam svaha” ”Om namah shante prashante gum hrim hrim sarva krodha prashamani svaha”

Dear Swarna

key/convince parents to marry someone you love is discussing, open dscussions and showing them that your choice is right one, all parents want their children happily settled without any problems, many parents fail to understand their children and grown up just their children's own decisons, this is the simple reason they do not trust their children's decisions now its in your hand and your partner'shand to convince them with better words and actions good luck!

Dear Swarna! Is there any God more than our parents? Is there any manthra over and above the Love of our parents? No parents will see to get ruin of their child. Please talk to them about your love. Before that you chek up whether your love is true or infatuation. Many of the girls nowadays falling in false Love and get ruined as well killing their parents. PLEASE THINK BEFORE TAKING DECISION ANY WAY BABY!

You dont need to know slokas to convince your parents for your marriage. You need the guts and courage to speak frankly to your parents and get their consent.

Swarna,

You can do Solah Somavar Vrat.

Please see

to know about Solah Somavar Vrat Puja

Solah Somvar Vrat is done to please Lord Shiva, the naive God who is so easy to please. One begins the fast on a Monday of the bright fortnight of any month.

On the 17th Monday, Udyapan or thanksgiving to Lord Shiva is done.

The person who observes the fast should do Shiv-Parvati Pooja after having a bath, and should then read the “Solah Somvar Katha” and fast till sunset.

During the fast hours, the person may have some fruits, nuts and milk. They can have one meal at sunset. (They should have a salt free meal)

(On the day of the Vrat the person who does the Vrat should not eat onions, garlic, nonveg etc.)

Vidhi for Solah Somavar Vrat :

The Vidhi is like this-its very simple..not much is required and that which is required will be available at your home or at the temple

-bathing yourself early in morning and wearing fresh clothes

-Preparing the churma ie the prasaad yourself..

churma is prepared with wheat flour and sugar.Put these two in right proportions in the kadhai after heating desi ie pure ghee. The sugar should be lesser than the flour.Cook until it turns golden brown and it is ready.

-Go to the nearest temple and worship Shivlinga(and Shiv family) with water, chandan, flowers

-Go to the nearest temple and worship Shivlinga(and Shiv family) with water, chandan, flowers, milk, dhoop(incense etc) fruit etc..these things wil be easily available at your home otherwise in the temple..flowers etc are sold outside the temple.

-Its ok if you cant find bilva patra etc not necessary that you offer and find everything but whatever is done needs to be done with faith and sincerity.

-Keep chanting Om Namah Shivay or any Shiv mantra or stuti while doing the worship and before it..(pray to Lord Shiva in morning the first thing that you make no mistakes and those made unknowingly are forgiven by him.) Lord Shiva will help you complete your vrata successfully.

-Read the Vrat katha once in a day- the 16 monday's vrat katha is available with any book seller who sells religious books

-don't forget the evening Puja

-Eat just one meal a day; whether in evening or night is your wish. There should be no salt in the food. Its best to eat something heavy and energising like parathas stuffed with aaloo or gobhi or chappatis with potatoes and curd so that you can pass the day without much difficulty.Since these are easy to cook you can eat these things only each Monday.

-Fruits, milk, fruit juice can be consumed throughout the day whenever you feel like it.After 4 am(next morning) you can break your fast and eat anything you like

Udyapan :

Udyapan (or the last puja of the fast that is done to break it) is done on the seventeenth Monday.

You can ask the temple priest to make a list of things are required for the worship and take them to temple on seventeenth Monday. The puja is performed with help of priest.

Fasting during periods :

You can keep the fast during periods otherwise it will break your Solah Somvar. But during periods women who fast should not go to Temple. They should not touch Scriptures, should not to Puja.

You cannot count that Monday. It will take more than 16 Mondays to complete Solah Somavar Vrat.

Somvar ki Kahani : (This story is related at the time of breaking Monday fast. Unshakable belief in Lord Shiva brings prosperity and nonbelievers get sufferings. If the husband and wife have the same belief they are bound to lead a happy life. Even repentance at some stage is good).

Once Lord Shiva visited the famous city of Amravati. Parvati also accompanied him. On their way, they saw a beautiful Shiva temple and decided to spend some time there. One day, Parvati found Lord Shiva in a playful mood. She said to him, oh my Lord; let us have a dice game. Lord Shiva obliged her and the game started. Meanwhile, the priest of the temple had come there. Parvati turned towards him and said please foretell who will win this game?

The Brahman gave no serious thought to her question and abruptly said, Lord Shiva will win the game. Incidentally Parvati won the game. She was angry because the Brahman had told a lie. Lord Shiva tried to pacify her, but she cursed the Brahman that he be a leper.

In due course, the Brahman became a leper and spent a miserable life. After some time a few fairies descended on the earth and pitied the fate of the priest. On asking him, the priest narrated the whole episode. One of the fairies said, you observe Monday fasts for sixteen weeks without break. On the seventeenth Monday, prepare some holy food or Prasaad with flour mixed with ghee and gur. Distribute this prasaad among the members of your family and take some yourself. You will be free from this leprosy.

The fairies disappeared and the priest followed the instructions. Soon, he regained his normal health. Once Lord Shiva and Parvati again visited that temple. Parvati was surprised to see the priest. He was his normal self. She enquired about this feat and the priest narrated the whole story.

Parvati was happy, she also decided to observe Monday fasts for sixteen weeks. Incidentally, on the seventeenth Monday, when she broke her fast, her beloved son Kartikeya, who was displeased with her, appeared and said, 0 dear mother what is that power with which you have called me? What is the mystery?

I am afraid there are no mantras for this situation. All you need is moral courage to tell your parents that you want to marry this person, and that is that. Decide the day on which you will tell your parents. Start meditating moments before you go to sleep and tell yourself that you will tell your parents on the chosen day that you are going to marry the person of your choice. By the time the day comes, you will develop so much power of conviction that your parents WILL accede to your choice.

The final question: are you sure that you will be happy for the rest of your life by marrying that person? If you are, follow my advice.
