Effects of evil eye do exist. Often referred to as Drishti and usually affect certain individuals more so than others. There are number of ways to remove, depending on the person. Here are one or two that I know of :

[1] Take fist of rough sea salt and turn 3 times clockwise around the affected person. Then leave in small bowel of water and make sure that person does not look the same bowel. By time salt disappears, effect should be reduced or gone.

[2] Take half a coconut, 1 broomstick and piece of camphor. Light the camphor on coconut, and turn around affected person 3 times clockwise fashion with broomstick. After doing this, take the coconut and broomstick and leave in a junction of 3 roads [choose area that you do not drive past daily].

Play Hanuman Chalisa and Vishnu Sahasranamam CDs at home. Also, chant them daily at least once. Let a lot of fresh breeze circulate in your house. Use some fresh fragrance like room spray, scented candles etc. which gives youa pleasant feeling. Doing Satyanarayana Puja at home (you an do it yourself in a very simple way)is also very good. Trying doing these and let me know the difference. Be patient and hold on to your faith in God and you will see the difference.

Drishti occurs when someone looks at you with a jealous,evil and astonishing mind.Someone who cannot possess or achieve a thing which you have reached. Some say pumpkin, etc can be used for drishti removal.

If you keep Lord Narasimha's photo in your house entrance it will nullify all evil results. Generally, Vishnu's Narasimha Avatar is to give swift removal of miseries especially due to enemies,demoniac men and horoscope planets.

In the Vaishnava agamas the Sudharsana mantra is a very prominent one. The Sudharsana Chakra or the divine disc of Maha Vishnu is one of the Lords prominent weapons in annihilating evil forces.

The Sudharsana yantra is also as important as the Sudharsana mantra. Usually Lord Sudharsana is seen installed with eight or sixteen hands in Vishnu temples.

It is stated in the Ahirbhudniya Samhita that when the devotees are suffering from the afflictions caused by incurable diseases, sorcery, or enemies, Lord Sudharsana dispels his fierce form and comes to their protection.
