	Response from: kalyan kumar, Featured Member on Ammas.com Source: This information comes from my own knowledge. rainbow posses 7 colours called vibgyor. it has 7 colours, but we seem it has only two or three,because, it is a continuous spectra. Continuous spectra means, when light falls on prism,they get dispersed and produces all the colours starting from violet to red, it is difficult to say, which one begin first and ends last. rainbow comes under continuous spectra........by using spectrograph we can conclude that rainbow consists 7 colours calld vibgyor (Rated by 1 Council Member)
