Subject: Relation of power and voltage.

For a filament lamp, if power is directly proportional to voltage squared, will power be quartered when voltage is halved?

The power will be one fourth of what it would have been if you had not halved the voltage.

actually power=v^2/R ,r is the resistance and when voltage is halved the power will be quartered.wat ur saying is right.
