Color basically influences our emotions and actions. It also helps in understanding how to respond to various people. Much has been studied and written about color and its impact on our daily lives.

Black is the most misunderstood color. Black is not a color, strictly speaking. It is the absence of all color. Black is authoritative and powerful because black can evoke strong emotions too much can be overwhelming. A classic color for clothing possibly because it makes the wearer appear thinner and more sophisticated.

Affects us physically and mentally: * feeling inconspicuous * a restful emptiness * mysterious evoking a sense of potential and possibility.

Black is often used as a symbol of menace or evil, but it is also popular as an indicator of power. It is associated with death and mourning in many cultures. It is also associated with unhappiness. In ancient Egypt, black represented life and rebirth.

Priests wear black to signify submission to God. Black is both positive and negative.
