April 26 2008 Dear Madam I had seen your article about your son How Krishna came out of Autism and nice to see that he came out from Autism by Aurveda treatment. I would like to get your advice on autism. My name is Anitha and residing at Teynampet, Chennai and working in a private concern. I have a son 6 1/2 years old name Vishnu. He was normal child from the birth and we had not found any different in his growth until age of 3. He never speaks any word and for amma he use to call me a abba only after 2 1/2 years. From the age of 3, he started to react differently like banging his head severely when he get angry, never plays with toys, restless, flapping his hand everytime, use to tear paper, rope, plastic sheets etc into piece and plays with it. Never mingles with other children or plays with them. Only try to find paper if any and plays with it. He diagonised with a Pediatrian at Child Trust Hospital at Nungambakkam. The doctor has made assessment that he is a Hyperactive disorder and has autism and we are giving him ADDWIZE medicine as prescribed by the doctor for the past one and half years and he has instructed to give for another two years. Is it effective for autism child. Now, he is age of 6 1/2 years. He speaks some few words which is not clear and never speak on his own as fluent as normal child. He understands clearly whatever we says but cannot answer appropriate to our questions. He might answer in one word. He sometimes reacts the mentality of 3 years old child by speaking to himself, laughing, less eye contact, still fidgeting all the time with paper, rope etc (only at home). Now, he has stopped banging his head but rarely when he never gets what he wanted. He speaks of his own language which is not clear. He has not achieved the understanding capacity. He still unable to write on his own and wants the help of other during writing. He is unable to handle with or get the full grip to catch the pencil properly with his finger. He is less interested in learning, unable to read but he intelligent in oral memory. He is studying in normal school in UKG and since he has not achieved understanding and reading capacity from next June, we are admitting him at Dyslexia school. For the past two months, he is going for Occupational Therapy classes at private clinic nearby. Should I put him me also at speech therapy classes. Since he understands what we speek and able to repeat whatever we say. The only thing he does not speak clearly nor in a sentence. Sometime he response to our question and othertimes, he is unable to say the answer. Can I train by speaking with him often at home itself. If so what are the ways. Is there any speech therapist near teynampet.

Other thing is how to stop his fidgetting with paper or rope since he started from the age of 3 and his mummering non stop (and that too only at home). Is there any steps to concentrate on other things rather than fidgting with paper.Kindly advice. Can Auyerveda Kotakal medicine or siddha treatment cure Autism.
