Subject: passport

i sent of for a first time passport 4 weeks ago but the passport office sent them back to me because i missed some details. i am due to fly out on the 3rd aug 2011 and i havnt had an interview yet. will i get my passport in time?

Make sure you talk to the travel agent/airlines and if possible someone from the immigration office in UK.British citizens born in the UK only need to provide a copy of a government photo ID and a British birth certificate. If you were born outside of the UK, you may need to provide additional documentation in order to be eligible for a British passport. You need to print out from the UK passport website saying that your passport application is in process.follow the instructions to print out your passport status page. Keep this status page with you during your entire trip for both exit from the U.S. and re-entry to the U.K. * Next, find out what the entry requirements are for the country you are visiting. In some cases, you may need to contact the Embassy of the country you are visiting. * Be sure to present the documentation required by the country you are visiting along with your printed passport status page to the airline personnel upon departure and re-entry to the U.K.
