If u r qualified enough to get a good job and ur better half also agrees then u can get ur name registered with consultancy agencies and get H1B and work. Other option is to spend time in sites like this--not expecting more money--answer question, write blogs,etc. pl check up volunteermatch.com where u can find local volunteer opportunities. U can also check up with local hospital for voluntary work. This is just to ensure that there is no gap in ur resume but u will not be paid. best wishes
