There is a big demand for such lessons. Please see: http://boards.universalclass.com/re…

It can be hard to learn on your own if you're not an experienced sewer, however, you can get the complete pattern and instructions from here:

Hello Kusum!

Its difficult to find a website where you can get complete cutting instructions & all information to learn to stitch salwar kamiz. I think you should join some classes because there you can learn it correctly & many types of salwar kameez designs.

The main types of stitching include: straight stitch - basic repair sewing semi-automatic zig-zag stitch - ability to do buttonholes, seam edges automatic zig-zag - added ability to do decorative stitches computerised - for the expert machine user who has full control over stitch length, width and density .

One of the special type of salwar kameez is stitched salwar kameez. Stitching is fastened with stitched. Tight fitting stitched salwar kameez is in fashion for young girls. tailoring salwar suits, readymade punjabi suits are a popular outfit in northern India. Chain stitching is done on different type of fabrics used in tailored salwar kameez. Sometimes, beads stitching is done on salwar kameez.

Hi Kusum

It is very easy for you to stitch a free style Churidhar.

Step:1 Take 2 mts cloth with a normal width of 90 to 115 cm (It is advisable for a begginer a cotton material)

Step:2 Fold horizontally and again vertically. Now you get four layer of material.

Step3: In length wise fold just make marks from the top folding. from top 8 inches, 15 inches, 23 inches and 36inches. With this mark you make straight line perpendicular to the lengthwise folding. (Now you have three parallel lines in you cloth)

Step4: You treat the horizontal folded top is the first line, where you make a mark at 8inches from vertical folding or center folding (It refers half of your shoulder width-1/2 inch)).In the second line (that is 8 Inch line) you make a mark at 11 inches (It is your body line 1/4 th of chest + 1.75 inch). In the third line ( that is 15 Inch line) make a mark at 10 inches. In the third line ( that is 23 inch line) make a mark at 12 inches. and Finally in the fourth line (36 inch line) make a mark at 14 inches.

Step 5: Produce a downward perpendicular line from the first mark, you will get a right angle, make a curve which is your arm hole of the dress. Join the 2,3,4 with a curved line it must look like your dress side. You can make side open as your preference.

Step 6: At the top most folded line you must mark your neckline. Make a mark at 3 inch from the fold in the horizontal first folded line and make a another mark at 5 to 6 inches as you prefer. And you make a curve line. This is your neck line.

Step:7: Now you get the body portion of your Churidhar. Cut Through the line. Make little difference for the back and front in the shape at neck line.

Step 8: In the left over material we can mark a short sleeve. So don't unfold the material. In 4 layer folded portion from the edge, you can make a mark at 1 inches for folding and at 4 inch and 7 inch. This is the length of your sleeve. make a mark in 8.5 inches in the 4 inch line and make a mark at 7inches at the folding line which we made at 1 inch. From the 7 inch top make a curve to join the 8.5 inch mark in the second line. Join the 8.5 inch mark and 7 inch mark in the folding line . Now you get the sleeve of your dress. Cut through line.

Important Tips: It is better for you refer a old dress for shape and stitching.
