Some dentists say people with removable dentures can chew gum carefully. Thus far I don't know of any widely available gum for people with dentures. Better to avoid chewing. If you need something have a sugar-free mint.

Freedent is a kind for people with dentures is good. It doesnt taste bad. it taste like wriglys gum. Other wise try with any sugar free gum would probably be fine. It's the sugar in gum that makes it stick to braces so bad

hello tara

Try Freedent gum , you can probably get it at most stores. also try regular Wrigleys Spearmint/doublemint gum, or u can ask ur dentist for a good chewing gum for u . all the best .

Hi Tara,

It is better to aviod chewing gums with dentures as it may hurt and cause oral ulcers. How about trying jellies if they cant do without gum. That would give you kind of gummy effect.

Can also try Wrigleys Freedent, spearmint/doublemint gum (i believe it doesnt get stuck), biotene, sugarfree gums dont stick i believe.

I would again say it is better to avoid gums with dentures.

Good luck.

Well i know a gum in qatar that you can chew and they don't stick to your dentures. Because my father has dentures and if you want some i can send to you some. the name of the gum is No Stick.

Hello Tara, if you have dentures, use dentachew, the official chewing gum of denture wearers everywhere .Freedent claims not to stick to dentures.Freedent is calledStick Free for denture / partial wearers orpersons with amalgam fillings. You could also try the dental aisle for non-stick gum, but read the label to see if it says anything about not sticking to dental work. People with experience says that chew the gum slowly and try to avoid it to come in contact with the denture and avoid sticking the gum with it. You need to practice that in your room.

Hai,from my own experience one can not have any chewing gum with removable partial dentures. If your dentures are fixed variety, then you can have any normal chewing gum.
