Hi,

if u open the old blouse carefully, u need not leave 1/2" allowance. After removing the stitches in the old blouse, i usually trim the edges of all the pieces neatly to take the paper cutting. So i will add extra allowance. The front Cup shape cutting i used to cut in cross width in the cloth. so the shape will fit perfectly.

The katori cut blose is little complicated one. Totally 13 pieces for a blouse ( front 5+5 including Button patti, back 1 and 2 sleeves.) If u know tailoring then it is better to use anold blose and take the Paper pattern leaving 1/2" allowence and try with an ordinary cloth. Then you will be knowing the fitting Accordingly take the fresh cutting and try) . I am stitching my bloses in this method and happy with the fittings.
