Normally there will not be any temperature control in the microwave. If you have the high end microwaves, then it will be more powerful. Cake making in the microwave depends on the recipe and amount you are making.

Cakes bake beautifully using only microwave oven. If you are using Betty Crocker or other ready made mix or If you are making your own cake mix then depending on the pan size, if using convection set the temperature at about 350F, 176C and bake for about 35 minutes. I have not tried it out making the cake in convectional microwave, so I can't advise you much more. To determine if the cake is done use an instant-read thermometer and stop baking when the cake is 200F, 93C.

hi

y. Cakes bake beautifully using only microwave. About 10 minutes on high power is usually correct for a Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines cake mix. If using convection set the temperature at about 350F, 176C and bake for about 35 minutes. I have not tried the combination settings so I can't advise on their usage. To determine if the cake is done use an instant-read thermometer and stop baking when the cake is 200F, 93C, or insert a skewer which, when removed, is dry without any cake batter on it you better to check in the booklet which you got along with that oven.

good luck

bye

A convection microwave dramatically cuts down the total bake time – eliminates the need to preheat your oven and will bake your cake within 10 minutes!

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Directions: Line the bottom of the baking dish with wax paper and spray the sides with oil. Pour in the cake batter and cover with wax paper. Microwave on high power for about 10-minutes or until a pick inserted comes out clean or the internal temperature is 200°F, 93°C. Remove cake from microwave and allow cake to cool. Decorate or frost your cake as preferred.

neha,

If you have a Convection Microwave Oven and if you are using the convection mode, use same settings as that for an oven.

Please see this recipe of Eggless Vanila Cake

http://www.pachakam.com/recipe.asp?…

Ingredients :

Maida - 250 gm, Icing sugar - 2 1/2 tsp, Sugar - 200 gm (powdered), Butter - 300 g (plain unsalted), Baking powder - 2 tsp, Cooking soda - 1 pinch, Vanila essence - 4 tsp, Pineapple essence - 2 tsp (for additional flavour), Milk - 200 ml (Whole milk)

Method :

In a suitable shallow bowl, take butter and microwave it in low (or reheat) mode for 1 - 2 mins until the butter melts. Ensure that the butter is just about melted and doesn`t burn. Let the butter cool. Add icing sugar and beat it well for 10 mins. While adding milk little by little, add sugar powder, baking powder, cooking soda, flour and mix well.

Add vanila essence, pineapple essence and mix and beat the batter for 20 mins.

Pre-heat the microwave Oven in Convection mode for 3 mins.

Take a greased microwave safe bowl (similar to Borosil(r)) and heat for about 2 mins. Remove the bowl and pour the batter into the bowl and place back in the Microwave oven for 7 - 8 mins set to 160 degrees Celcius in Convection mode, in "Microwave Only" option.

After this, let it stand for about 2 mins before removing the bowl out from the oven.

After removing the bowl, tip it upside down on a large plate and leave it for 10 mins.

Slowly pull up the bowl off the plate to leave the cake.

To use convection mode you just turn the knob to convection mode, preheat at reqd temp, and then use the provided pans.

It depends on what model you bought. But mostly, 10 minutes is enough with 200°F temperature.

But for best result, see the guide-book of your convention/nal microwave for baking homemade moist cake. If u cannot find, then see the method on how to use @ http://www.ovens-america.com/convec…

Different cakes need different temperatures. Most of the cakes need to be baked at 350 degrees celcius. there are some cakes, especially cheesecakes and flourless cakes, that are cooked in a water bath (where the cake pan sits in a larger pan of water in the oven) to moderate the temperature and bake it very gently. If you're making a fairly traditional flour-based layer cake, though, you don't need a water bath. Just keep the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) or less,
