Following saunth ka laddoo recipe is taken from www.daawat.com…:

Ingredients: 500g wheat flour 300g ghee or butter 250g sugar 1 cup water 1/2 tsp cardamom powder 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder 100g chopped dry fruits (cashew nuts, almonds, chironji & raisins) Method: Fry wheat flour in the ghee in a pan. Fry to a light brown on a medium to low flame. Prepare a 2-string syrup with sugar & water. Mix together all ingredients. Prepare round laddoos out of the mixture.

Bhoondi Ladoo (south Ka Laddoo) Ingredients:

Rice flour – 1tsp Kesar color – 1pinch Cooking soda – 1 pinch Oil – for deep frying Sugar – 11/2 cups Water –1/2 cup Saffron – little Broken cashew nuts –1tblsp Kismis –1tblsp Diamond candy –little Cloves –a few Ghee –1tblsp Cardamom powder –little

Method:

1. Mix gram flour, rice flour, color and soda together. 2. Add just enough water to make it into a paste (bajji dough consistency) 3. Heat oil in a broad kadai 4. Keep boondi laddle on top of the oil at a distance and pour one big spoon full of mixed batter on the boodhi laddle. Tap gently with a spoon 5. Small droplets of the dough fall in the oil and gets fried. 6. When it is half fried (still soft) take out from the oil and put in the hot sugar syrup. (let it fry fully if you want to make crisp boondi) 7. Repeat the process till all the boondhis are fried 8. Make sugar syrup as light thread consistency and pour over the bhoondis, little at a time add the broken cashews, kismis and diamond candy and make it into lemon sized balls and place it on wax paper or lightly greased sheet until it gets hard.

--Method Fry wheat flour in the ghee in a pan till light brown. Prepare syrup with sugar & water. Beat all ingredients. Prepare laddoos of the mixture.

Preparation Process Sun dry all ingradients of Aurvedic Medicines and grind Deep fry Makhana in ghee and set aside Cut Chhohara into smal pieces Grate Sukha Nariyal Roast Chhohara, Sukha Nariyal, Pista, Badam, Kaju and Gond, one at a time, with small amount of ghee and set aside Mix all roasted dry fruits and Gond, and grind Roast wheat flour with small amount of ghee till it turn to golden brown Mix all grinded ingradients, roasted wheat flour, Gud, Mishree and remaining ghee Make laddus of the mix and store it an air tight bottle Recommended Use Take one laddu with a glass of milk every morning before or after breakfast. Do not drink water for minimum 30 minutes after eating the laddu.

Hi, You are asking the south ka laddoo Ingredients:

2 cups gram flour (besan) 11/2 cup sugar (grinded) 1 cup ghee 1tsp each almonds, pistachios, cashew nuts (chopped)

Method:

In a kadhai mix gram flour and ghee over a low heat. Keep constantly stirring to avoid lumps. When it releases an appetizing smell, it is ready. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool. Add sugar and nuts to the gram flour and mix thoroughly. Now form ping-pong size balls of the mixture. Laddus are ready to be served. http://festivals.iloveindia.com/gan…

Hi Sushila, Heres the recipe for Laddoos made in the South

• 250gm. gram flour or besan • 500 gm clarified butter or ghee • 500 gm. castor sugar or boora • 100 gm nuts or mewa (almonds, cashew nuts, pistachio-any or all)

Instructions

1. Measure all ingredients separately. 2. Chop nuts or buy ready chopped ones. 3. Heat clarified butter or ghee in a heavy bottomed wok or kadhai. 4. Add gram flour or besan. 5. Fry on medium heat, stirring constantly, until besan changes colour to reddish brown and emits the roast aroma. Ghee also separates from the besan at this stage. Do not be in a hurry. Besan must be properly fry-roasted on medium fire. 6. Now add sugar and mix thoroughly. 7. Add Nuts and mix thoroughly. 8. Take the pan off the fire and let it cool, enough to be able handle the mix in your palms. 9. Take approximately 1-2 tbs. of the prepared mix in one hand. 10. Squeeze and roll it between the palm and fingers of that hand, to make it into small but firm ball. Squeezing is necessary to make the laddoo compact enough to hold together. Continue until all laddoos are made. 11. Place on a tray until completely cool. 12. Store in an air tight boxes.
