Hi,

Here are some recipes for Naivedyam. Kozhukattai Outer covering: Ingredients: 1 cup Rice flour, 1 cup water, 1/4 tsp salt, 11/2 tsp gingely oil. Procedure: Allow the water, salt, oil to boil in a pan, then add rice flour with constant stirring. You get dough like consistency.Close the lid and allow it for 1/2 hr.

Sweet Poornam : Ingredients: 1 cup coconut, 1 cup jaggery, 2-3 cardomom. Procedure: Mix coconut, jaggery and cardamom in pan and allow for 5 mins. The jaggery melts and mixes with coconut and stir till the moist is gone.

Kozhukattai : Prepare a small bowl using little balls of rice flour and stuff small ball of poornam in the bowl and close it. Repeat this procedure for all rice flour dough and poornam.Steam the mothaks for 5-10 mins.

Salt Kozhukattai : Repeat the same procedure for dough.

Salt poornam: Ingredients: 1 cup urad dal, 4-5 green chillies, 1/2 tsp salt, a pinch of asafoetida,6 tsp grated coconut, few tsps of oil,few curry leaves. Procedure: Soak urud dal for 1 hour. Add green chillies, 1/4 tsp salt, a pinch of asafoetida and grind it into a thick coarse paste. Place this on idli plates and steam. Remove and when it cools a little separate them gently.Heat 4 tsp of oil in a fry pan, add mustard seeds. When it pops, add coconut, cooked urud dal mix. Add a bunch of curry leaves.

Stuff this as described in sweet kozhukattai and steam them.

You can also prepare some ama vadai, sweet pongal, salt pongal, sundal, raw rice idly, payasam, milk and fruits, sweet poli, kesari.

Thanks and have a nice day.
