Here you will find about the Materials required for Puja, Puja to Sri Lord Ganesh, Dhyana Shloka, Sri Sai Nathaya Puja Sankalpam, 108 Names of Shirdi Sai Baba, Pushpanjali, Sri Sai Vrata Kalpam.

Sri Sai Vrata Kalpam :

For the protection of the virtuous, for the destruction of evil-doers, and for establishing righteousness on a firm footing, God incarnates in every age. Whenever ashanti, or disharmony, overwhelms the world, the Lord incarnates in human form to establish the modes of earning of peace, and to re-educate the human community towards the paths of peace. More than 5,000 years ago God descended was around on this planet as Krishna. He participated in the famous battle of Mahabharata as the strategic advisor to the Pandavas. After the completion of his mission, Lord Krishna gave up his avatar.

The sages and learned men wanted people to devote their time to God so that they may sacrifice the worldly pleasures and seek the blessings of God and become more spiritual and less materialistic. They found that man spent most of his time concentrating on the accumulation of wealth and worldly pleasures. To achieve this he would do all sorts of atrocities which were against the nature of man. Of course, a person must have enough to lead a simple life. But wealth accumulated beyond reasonable levels intoxicates the self and breeds evil desires and habits. Wealth has to be held for activities that are beneficial for promoting righteous living, and for fulfilling one's duties to society. In all the worldly activities, one should not to offend propriety or the canons of good nature; one should not play false to the promptings of the Inner Voice, one should be prepared at all times to respect the appropriate dictates of conscience; one should watch one's steps to see if one is in someone else's way;

One should be ever vigilant to discover the Truth behind all the scintillating variety. This is the entire Duty of man, his Dharma. Everything has emerged from truth. Truth is the form of the Divine. Everything is based on Truth. There is no greater dharma than truth.

The scriptures direct that man has to earn just enough for his upkeep by honest means and use the rest of his time and skill for the general good of everyone.,. Without wisdom, he becomes an instrument of exploitation and tyranny; wisdom without wealth becomes mere fantasy and a bundle of blueprints. Use makes them worthwhile; misuse makes them disastrous. Man must dedicate himself to Dharma and be engaged in Dharma so that he may live in peace and the world may enjoy peace....Dharma is the foundation of the welfare of humanity; it is the truth that is stable for all time. Whatever is done in an attitude of dedication and surrender is a component of the Dharma which leads to realization.

God is omnipresent and omnipotent, yet people are not able to recognise the fact. If God appeared in this world with his shank and chakra, man would not accept him but ridicule at him and treat him like an alien. Man should realise that God is everywhere, in everything and in everyone. His duties towards his family done through his words and duties, should be done with love. See God in everyone. Man should have his feet in the world but his mind in the God. Man should always think of God (Sat-Chintana) and use his judgement to discriminate between the good and the bad at every point. He should care for the well-being of the society in which he is living. When God incarnated as a human being, He wanted us to remake ourselves. We must realise that we have not been brought into this world to accumulate worldly pleasures like money, material possessions and scholarly and intellectual talents, but for spiritual development.

He wants man to destroy the identification of the self with the body and to get firm in the belief that all this is a Paramatma and nothing else. There is nothing else to be done except bowing to His Will and surrendering to His Plan. This is the sum of man's duty. Man's duty should be to become the master of oneself, to hold intimate and constant communication with the Divine in oneself.

He must remember that man is born alone and he dies alone. He does not have a single companion while on his journey through life. All worldly relations like father, mother, spouse, sons, daughters, forego his body and go about their work. Only one's Dharma follows the body. Hence man should always be on the pursuit of one's Dharma and seek His blessings.

The world itself is a great teacher, a constant guide and inspiration. That is the reason why man is surrounded and sustained by the world. Every bird, every animal, every tree, every mountain and star, even each tiny worm has a lesson for man if he has the will and the thirst to learn. These make the world a veritable university for man; it is a school where he is a pupil from birth to death.

ARATI CHANTING: Oh Sai Baba, we wave lights before You, the bestower of happiness to the Jivas. Give us - Your servants and devotees rest under the dust of Your feet. Burning (destroying) desire, You remain absorbed in Your Self and show the Lord (God) to the aspirants. As one feels intently, You give him experiences or realizations accordingly. Oh kind-hearted, Your power is such! Meditation on Your name removes our fear of the samsar. Your method of work is really unfathomable as You always help the poor and helpless. In this Kali age, You - the all-pervasive Datta, have really incarnated as Saguna Brahma. Ward off the fear of samsar of the devotees who come to You every Thursday so as to enable them to see the feet of the Lord. Oh! God of Gods, I pray that let my treasure be the service of Your feet. Feed Madhav and (you should utter your name here) with happiness as the cloud feeds the Chatak bird with pure water and thus keep up Your Word. Amen !

Story behind the sai vrat pooja :

Kokilaben and her husband Maheshbhai used to live in a big city and they had lots of love for each other. But Maheshbhai’s nature was very annoying and he had no sense of talking. Neighbors were also very much frustrated by his this kind of nature. Kokilaben had lots of faith in GOD and she was very religious.

She was tolerating all her problems silently having lots of faith in GOD that GOD will make everything all right one day. But because of Maheshbhai’s nature, their business went down gradually and there was not enough income. He started staying at home all day and his nature become worst. It was an afternoon. One old saint came to Kokilaben’s door. There was enormous light on his face. And he asked for rice and dal (lentils). Kokilaben gave him rice and dal and she folded her both hands and said “namste” (greetings).

Saint replied “SAI will always keep you happy.” Kokilaben said “There is no happiness in my life” and she told all her problems to the saint. After listening to all her problems, Saint told her about

“SAI NAV (NINE) GURUWAR (THURSDAY) VRAT”.

Saint told as follows about the Vrat.

· This Vrath can be started from any Thursday by uttering SAI BABA’s name.

· This Vrath has to be continued for 9 Thursdays.

· Any male, female or child can do this Vrat.

· On these Nine Thursday, individual who is doing vrat can eat fruit/milk/sweets etc. all day long or can have one meal a day. ONE MUST NOT DO THIS VRAT WITHOUT EATING ANYTHING.

· If possible, go to SAI BABA’s temple to have SAIBABA’s darshan on these Nine Thursday.

· At home, do pooja / prayer of SAI BABA as follows.

· In the morning or in the evening, do the pooja as mentioned below.

· Put Yellow Cloth in front of you and place SAI BABA’s Photo or Statue on this cloth.

· Light lamp (diya) in front of BABA’s picture.

· Wash or wipe BABA’s picture with clean water and cloth.

· Put “tikka (Bindi on the forehead)” with “kumkum” (red powder) on BABA’s face.

· Offer Yellow Flower to BABA.

· Offer Fruit or Sweets to BABA as Naivadhya (Prasad)

· Read this SAI story and Read / Sing SAIBABA’s Aarti after finishing Pooja and reading story.

· Tell BABA why you are doing this Vrat and ask him to fulfill your wish.

· Give Prasad to all your friends and family members and you also eat it some.

· If, because of any reason, you cannot do vrat on any Thursday, skip that Thursday and continue from the next Thursday.

· If female is doing this Vrat, skip the Thursday during Menstrual Cycle period.

· On the 9th Thursday, Celebrate SAI VRAT. In this celebration process, feed 5 poor people and distribute this SAI VRAT book among people. One can give 5, 11 or 21 etc.

· Put this SAI VRAT Story Book or printed paper , which you are going to distribute among people, when you do pooja and then give them to people. By doing this, their wishes will be fulfilled very soon too.

· All wishes will be fulfilled by doing this vrat.

In this Kali Age (Kaliyug), this vrat is very effective. This vrat will give desired fruit to doer but doer must have full faith and patience. Whoever will distribute this SAI VRAT book among people and make good name of SAI and this Vrat, their all wishes will be fulfilled.

After listening about this SAI VRAT from Saint, Kokilaben also decided to do this vrat. She started Vrat from the Thursday. And she finished 8 Guruwars with full faith. On the 9th Guruwar, she fed poor people and distributed SAI VRAT books among friends and relatives.

As soon as she finished the Vrat, all the quarrels vanished from her house. Prosperity, happiness and peace spread in her home. Maheshbhai’s nature was changed completely. Their business started doing well. And in no time, they got all the happiness and prosperity.

Both husband and wife started living happily. One day Kokilaben’s sister-in-law and brother-in-law came from Surat. Her sister-in-law was talking with Kokilaben. The former said that her kids were not studying and getting failed in exams. Kokilaben told her about SAI VRAT. She said “SAI devotion will make education better. Have faith in SAI BABA. HE helps everyone.” Kokilaben’s sister-in-law asked the detail of the vrat.

Kokilaben told about the SAI VRAT in detail. And explained her everything about the vrat. Her sister-in-law went to Surat and she sent a letter after few days. She wrote that her children have started doing SAI VRAT and now they are studying very well. She also did Vrat and distributed SAI VRAT book in her office. One of her friend, who had very hard time in getting married, got married to a very nice man after started doing SAI VRAT. Her neighbor has also started doing SAI VRAT and she got her stolen jewelry box back. It was a great miracle.

Dear shirdi sai baba , as you have blessed these people, please bless all of us too.

Please start doing it with love on sai .surely you will get blessings of saibaba by doing this sai vrat pooja.Don't stop yourself from doing this pooja..Its simple. If you feel like doing it , ask baba for blessings to start it and try to do it . My prayers to sai for you to start sai vrat pooja as soon as possible.

Hai Bharu,

It is a well known fact that Shri Sai Baba lived on alms collected from five houses daily in Shirdi. It was Baba's practice to collect bread and solid food in the jholi and liquid or semi-solid food in a tin container. Having thus collected his bhiksha, Baba would return to the Masjid and mix all food together before partaking it. At times hungry people and even stray cats, dogs and animals would eat from the same and Baba never said anything to anyone. It was considered opportune and luck to be able to offer something in Baba's jholi, since the benefits accrued by this act were enormous both spiritual and material.

The Shri Sai Baba Sansthan in Shirdi honors this tradition of Baba's rounds in Shirdi during Mahasamadhi celebrations by taking out jholi procession. Trustees, Sansthan officials, villagers and other devotees who are picked by lottery system are given a chance to go around the town with a jholi in their shoulder. After the morning abhishek all the lucky people selected as jholi bearers by the Sansthan gather in the Samadhi mandir and after performing pooja and getting tilak on their forehead start in a procession going around the town.

Residents, shop keepers and visiting devotees anxiously wait for the jholi bearers to visit them. Villagers decorate their homes, put rangoli and with pooja materials and offerings patiently wait for the jholi bearers. When the jholi bearer reaches their door, the villagers first welcome them as Baba was traditionally welcomed. They wash the feet of the jholi bearer, do pooja and then put their offerings in the jholi. The offerings are as varied as can be from rice grains, wheat, sweets, fruits, flowers, money, etc.. The jholi bearer then gives a handful from the jholi back to the offerer as Baba's prasad. The Sansthan vehicles follow the jholi bearers and when the jholi becomes heavy it is emptied in the vehicle and returned to the jholi bearer to continue in the procession. The feeling of each one is that Baba himself is visiting them and surely their faith is answered by Baba.
