Many people carry out this puja immediately after or along with an suspicious occasion like a marriage or moving into a new house or for any other success in life. Satyanarayan puja can be performed on any day. It is not a puja confined to any festivities. But Poornima (full moon day ) is considered to be most auspicious day for this puja. Performing this puja in the evening is considered more appropriate. However one can do it in the morning as well. On the day of the puja, the devotee has to fast. After bathing the person can begin the puja.

You can do it since your pregnancy is at its first trimester only. Restrictions starts afterwith 7th month only.

You can certainly perform the satyanarayana pooja on the next full moon(July 18) or any full moons afterward. Since you are pregnant, you should be careful about getting your nutrients during your fast. Just avoid grains and regular salt.

Offering Pujas to Satyanarayan and Katha path brings the abundance and peace in all forms in the entire family of a person. Lord Satyanarayan is worshipped commonly by Hindus in their homes with family and friends, usually on a full moon (purnima) day of the month. In this puja, people worship by reciting the gracious story of Lord Satyanarayana, this story was told by Lord Vishnu himself to the sage Narada for the benefit of humankind. He is another form of Lord Vishnu. He has four hands with Sankha, chakra, gada and padma (Lotus). The Pujas to Satyanarayan and Katha path is performed in reverence to the Narayan form of Lord Vishnu. The Lord in this form is considered an embodiment of truth. This puja and Katha Path is conducted to ensure abundance and peace in ones life. Many people carry out this puja immediately after or along with an auspicious occasion like a marriage or moving into a new house or for any other success in life. Satyanarayan puja and Katha Path can be performed on any day. It is not a puja confined to any festivities. But Poornima (full moon day ) is considered to be most auspicious day for this puja. Hi,

You can perform Satyanarayana Vratam. But please see to that you don't strain yourself too much. Usually after 7th month Vratam is not performed. You can light deepam and go to Temples till the end of 7th month.

You can also see these links for advices about doing Vratam during pregnancy

yes you can perform the pooja with the cassette playing in the background. first of all listen to the cassette to check out what items are required for the pooja. prepare the prasadam and keep the pooja items at your hands reach to use as and when required.

hi, you can certainly perform the pooja...now ur 45 days pregnant...so there is no restriction now...

after 5 months you shouldn't think of doing pooja even...as elders say that doing homas harm the child...

so you can perform this pooja on full moon days...but dont take stress...if this pooja is too particular...or just want to listen to this katha then listen ina relaxed way...dont get tired at this early stage of pregnancy... if u cant avoid this pooja then...take rest in between the intervals and take support of your back and relax and listen to katha...

i wish u all the best

After 45 days you cannot directly perform any pooja. It is not valid. You can hear the katha and the pooja can be performed by someone else in your house or premises.

Dear Java

yes you can. As worship of god is rather at greater mental level. Materialistic things wont bother. Your query regarding dharmashastra and pooja will be appreciated in future. Pls opt www.astrofriend.ammas.com….

thanks
