Hi amma, I would like to know what home made things can i use to improve skin complexion and softness of my 30 month old daughter?. I heard that olive oil is good for skin somplexion,Is it true?. Also i would like to know healthy and fatty foods which are good and would increase her weight?. Please let me know your advice. Thanks in advance, Siri.
Use Dabur Baby olive oil, Dabur red thail(massage oil), whenever u give bath to the kid, add few drops of newly prepared coconut oil in the water - which maintains good moisture and complexion. Regarding healthy foods - quantity of food intake is not important but the quality that means the calories - protein, fat, carbohydrates and vitamins should be present. There might be many reasons - if kid is fussy check with paediatrician for an appetizer which increases her weight. if kid is not fussy then too not gaining weight.Check whether her thyroid hormone production is within normal, any condition of primary complex (where the kid doesnot gain weight and becomes skinny),check for other conditions with paediatrician.
Always remember dear, that the colour is GOD given and we cannot change much. Children will get their natural colour as days go by. Please get it out if your mind that your daughter is dark and that she has to get fair. Make her healthy and she 'll get her maximum colour then. Give her fruits to eat and not fruit juices. She is 30 month old and can eat properly. Give her what she likes, even if you feel it is not good for her health. But add fruits and nuts , vegetables etc in that.That is if she likes only chappathis, make it stuffed ones with mashed veggies. Every kid deserves a good oil massage daily before or after bath! Olive and almond oils are best.
Don't worry about increasing her weight. Most kids will eat appropriately and get to their naturally healthy weight as long as their parents provide enough food. By this age your daughter should be eating meals with the family-- feed her what you feed the family, only in chopped up or mashed portions.
One thing that can lead to a kid's underweight is drinking too much juice. Juice decays teeth and fills kids up without providing many calories. Instead of juice, give her milk, water, and whole fruits to snack on.

Regarding weight, I would suggest not to alter anything about your child to increase her weight. She is only 30 months and with the progress of time, she will gain the required weight.
