The Council of Ammas consists of the world’s top ranked mothers in their category of expertise, based on Ammas.com’s internationally patented ranking and assessment system.

When a product or service is "Approved by the Council of Ammas" this means the top seven Ammas (experts) on Ammas.com have evaluated and approved it. And at least one Council Member has visited and approved the production or service facilities.

Ammas.com represents the first global competition of mother-like advisors ever created, with thousands of registered Ammas giving advice to millions of unique users.

All products or services must meet the following criteria to receive the Ammas brand:

• The product or service must be approved by no less than five out of seven members of the Council of Ammas in the applicable category.
• The production or office facilities of the product or service must be inspected and approved by an officially designated member of Ammas.com.
• Food and personal care products must be all-natural and contain an accurate and complete ingredient list. Preference is given to products that are: free-range, organic, non genetically modified and/or have environmentally friendly packaging (recycled, recyclable, etc.)
• Production facilities must meet international environmental safety standards.
• Paper products must be 100% recycled (minimum 20% post-consumer content) and use no chlorine bleach. Preference is given to products containing more than 20% post-consumer content.
• Preference for cleaning products is given to those that are all-natural, have environmentally friendly packaging (recycled, recyclable, etc.) and are chemically sensitivity safe.
• For Artwork, Non-Profit, and Partners' products the "themes" of the products must be related to social and/or environmental issues that are in keeping with the values of Ammas.com. Preference is given to products that are recycled, organic and all-natural.
