One of my friend said "Vaibhav Lakshmi" puja is very good for everything. She told me to read Mahalakshi astakam and VaibhavLakshmi story. I do not have any idea about this puja. Can you please give me details about this puja. In the place I am living, there are no good Indian stores where I can get these type for books also. So if there is any site on which I can download the story, that would be really helpful.
I have "Lalitha sahasranama stotram". So can i read that on fridays instead of Vaibhav Lakshmi puja? All Devis are one and same. Right?
hi my name is sukanya. i am mother of two year old daughter. the other day when i was browsing at this site i found ur question under spirituality. i have done this vaibhavalakshmi pooja once before my marraige, and to be frank really this is a very very good puja.so i would like to help u. for this pooja u require shri yanthram, mahalakshmi picture,a red blouse piece, silver or copper small pot for kalasham, beetle leaves, any silver or gold ornament,a glass of raw rice, small ganesh idiol, and vaibhava lakshmi book (how to perform pooja),and 8 or 11 or 21 books to distribute with haldi and kumkum, and bangles. this pooja depends on u like how many weeks would u like to do this vratham.this can be done 8 or 11 or 21 weeks that is every friday.on the last friday u have to distribute book of stories, bangles(depending on the weeks u have done the vratham u must give those many bangles ex: 8 weeks=8 bangles for each person),u must give haldiand kumkum, prasadam, and money(i e $1:25) for each person, and take ashirvadham from them. this must be given to only married woman . there r two different books for puja.one is how to perform the puja.and the other is to distribute.these books consists of stories and mantras.u must distribute only books which consists of stories but not mantras. first what u need is how to place the kalasham and etc. first place the red blouse piece on a new wooden table (peeta 0r patla).pour raw rice and place kalasham with water in it adding haldi and kumkum .later place the betel leaves in the kalasham.place a small vessel(steel bowl which is new,not used before)at the mouth of kalasham and put a silver or gold ornament in that bowl(katori)u dont need to put coconut for this kalasham, remember one thing for this puja shri yanthram is a must.without this puja is not done.place kalasham in front of the yantram.and place ganesh idiol next to kalasham. first do ganesh pooja and later u r guided with the book like how to perfrom the pooja.remember u should do kumkum arachan for the lakshmi picture(read lakshmi ashtotharam)and put little kumkum in front of mahalakshmi's feet. this pooja must be done in the morning.and later in the evening u have do kumkum arachana and u can have ur dinner.u can have lunch too but it depends upon u.u can fast or have regular food.on the last day u distribute the books as before mentioned.please go thru the book before starting the pooja. i hope this information is useful to u.good luck.
Dear ig, I too am told by my friends. It is really good. There is separate book for vaibhavalakshmi pooja.U can get it from india. I too did the same.Details will be given in the book itself.I dont think u can get in usa.Pooja method is,u have to do this vratam on fridays only. u have to do for 11 or 22 fridays.if u rin periods or out of town , then u shouldn't do. Do it in the next week in ur own house.U have to fast the whole day or half day.If u cant do this then no compulsion.U have to keep sriyantra and lakshmi devi idol. infront of it keep kalasa filled with water. On that keep a new bowl.Keep a gold ornament(it may be even a ring) or a rupee.Do pooja with kumkum and flowers.offer naivedyam and give aarti. U can offer even sugar. At the end ( of all weeks) u have to distribute vaibhava lakshmi books.U have to complete the weeks u have said to do before.ALL devis are one form. But particularly we pray lakshmi roopam(form) in this vratam. lalitha sahasram is really good. But for VL pooja better to do in the same way given in the book. for more information visit this site.http://www.vishuji.com/shrivaibhava…
