Dear amma, Recently my face is turning dark and especially near my mouth and chin a lot. Can you please suggest me something that i can do at home. My skin type is normal.

Every day, at bed time apply raw milk with cotton on your face. This will work as a "Natural Cleanser" and wipe out all the dirt from your face and also act as bleach giving you fair skin.

For healthy skin make a thin paste of Besan ( i.e. Gram flour) , milk cream and Ambehalad and apply on you face as face mask and after fifteen minutes wash out with water.

Application of 1 tsp gram flour with milk cream and ¼ tsp of honey brightens the complexion.

Mix 1 teaspoon of ground rice with curd and massage on your face and neck. This will remove dead cells and get rid of the tan.

To improve your complexion, apply a paste made of boiled carrots on your face.

Rub mango peels on your face and neck. Wash off after 10 minutes. This will make the skin soft, supple and glowing.

Take steam once in two days to unclog pores, this also helps in pimple treatment.

Drink coconut water at least once a day and use it a bit to apply on your face for a refreshing feel.

Applying honey on your face and keeping it for 5 minutes makes your skin lighter.

Take 1 teaspoon Multani mitti soaked in water and drain after it gets loosened. Add 1 teaspoon pure honey and 1 teaspoon curd. Apply on your face for 45 minutes and see beautiful glowing skin in 10days.

Bananas are good skin rejuvenators. Mashed bananas combined with Vitamin E capsules act as a natural facial massaging cream and this gives a healthy glow to the skin. For best results use this during winter season.

Gram flour(besan) is good for oily skin because it absorbs oil and makes your skin dry. Steam your skin after applying besan.

Hi, Take 2-3 teaspoons of herbal oil in a small bowl. Warm this bowl with herbal oil, in lukewarm water. Massage the face and neck with lukewarm herbal oil for 10 minutes. Sandal wood powder ,Turmeric powder,milk Mix all the ingredients to form a paste. Apply this as face pack. This rejuvenates the skin .Avoid spicy, oily and junk foods.Sleep at least 6 hours a day. Drink plenty of water.

LIGHTEN SKIN Mix almond oil with few drops of lime juice and apply on the affected parts. Make a paste of powdered almonds and curds and apply on the face and wash after half an hour or so. Massage skin with few drops of coconut oil daily. Make a mixture of 2 tsp. lemon peel powder with enough milk to make a thick paste and add one tsp. of honey and scrub your face gently with this mixture and wash with cold water. This can be done twice a week. Mix 1 tsp. tomato juice, ½ tsp. cucumber juice, ½ tsp. honey and little turmeric and apply on the skin and wash after a few hours. Make a mixture of 1 tsp. milk and 1 tsp. honey and massage on skin and wash after one hour. Mix 1 tsp. potato juice with 1 tsp. honey and apply on the face. Wash your face after one hour. Mix 1 tbsp. honey with 1 tbsp. cucumber juice with few strands of saffron and apply daily on face. Wash after one hour. Add few drops of lemon juice to one tbsp. of cucumber juice and little haldi and apply all over the face and neck and wash after half an hour. Mix equal quantities of lime juice and honey and apply on the face. Wash after one hour.

For your second query, this is not possible, you will have to lose overall weight.

Dear vineetha, I guess your skin might be getting dry or else the area might be looking darker because of facial hair. Try this simple pack: Mix besan with milk to batter consistency. Apply on the face. Let it dry. Then wash off with warm water. You can apply lemon juice mixed with fresh milk cream around the mouth and chin just before going to sleep daily and wash off with warm water in the morning. Hope the above pack helps. All the best.

hi, The darkening of skin especially around the mouth area must be due to the accumulation of dead cells. you should try scrubbing. get a good scrubbing cream, and make sure you do the scrubbing+moisturizing routine atleast once in a week. make sure you scrub the neck area too when you are scrubbing the face. Also apply lemon juice or tomato juice on your face daily for about 30 minutes before your bath and wash off. These are natural bleach cum astringents and will help lighten your skin. Good luck.

Hello For making skin complexion light, use gram flour mixed with lemon juice and curd, or try using carrot pack or potato pack. Milk is also good for light complexion.
