Hi Bindu,

Enlarged pores are concerned for women of all ages and skin types, especially for those with oily and combination skin's. If you dont take care of the skin properly these pores will become larger and larger and may be easily clogged which usually leads to blackheads, pimples, discolorations, excessive sebum production. If you don’t treat the large pores at early stage the pores can look worse than they actually are.

Enlarged pores usually appear on the T-zone - forehead, chin and especially around the nose and a concern mainly during puberty. The large pores are generally “little openings of the hair follicle onto the surface of the skin that provide a way for the oil glands underneath to lubricate and protect the surface of your skin”. Pores play a vital role in skin physiology and are a natural part of the skin and without them the skin won’t be able “to breathe”. Their secretion ensures essential skin moisture and oiliness and all the nutrients are supplied through them.As we said large pores appear mainly around the nose because the area has more oil glands than the other areas.

By using creams or such products you cannot get rid of those small holes.I feel that its better to go for chemical peeling or microdermabrassion.

Glycolic peel is mainly suggested for scars, deep pores and pigmentation.with glycolic peel you will have smmoth skin. Microdermabrasion allows for gentle and precise skin exfoliation improving the appearance of uneven skin tone, fine lines, hyperpigmentation and sun damage, large pores. It is suitable for almost any skin type.

Professional micro dermabrasion peels off the outermost layer of skin, abrading the blackheads off (or at least the head of the plug). The suction then effectively pulls out the remaining dirt and hardened oil from the pores. It also stimulates collagen production which increases elasticity in the skin (healthy, elastic skin is essential for keeping your pores tight). When the natural oil reaches the surface of the skin, the pores return to their natural shape and size because there's nothing left stuck inside to enlarge them.

Other treatments recommended for clogged and enlarged pores include laser resurfacing, chemical peeling and other procedures that strip them of debris, remove blackheads, eliminate bacteria and help pores close down and become tight. Because these procedures are more aggressive.

Think twice before having them. Consult a dermatologist and take a good suggestion.

hi,

Acne scarring may be helped by products which contain Vitamin A, such as Bio-oil. In more severe cases laser treatment may be indicated. Always use a reputable clinic with qualified nurses. Have a consultation and skin analysis first. Make sure they also carry out a test patch on a small area of skin before proceeding with the treatment. Many clinics claim there are no adverse effects but objectively i would say a histamine response is a possibility. Laser treatment and microdermabrasion can be expensive. Some clinics will offer interest free finance, or a discount for a course of treatments.

best wishes

Frankly speaking u cannot (unless ofcourse by plastic surgery). But u can make your face glow by massaging daily and avoiding recurrence of pimples due to large holes. If dirt enter these pores, it will result in pimples.

Daily scrub your face using facial buff, not sure if u can get it in your area. It looks like hard dry coconut fibers (used to clean utensil) eg this http://www.walmart.com/catalog/prod…. You have to scrub it properly your face with this.

Try to steam your face daily twice just after morning bath and just before going to bed. If u have money u can buy one in India (it will be like this http://www.amazon.com/Conair-MDF2R-…). If u don't have then just boil water on stove and cover your face along with boiled utensil with a blanket and inhale the steam. Nothing should be added (not even turmeric).

After bath (this will clean dirt), then facial steam (this will open your pores fully) apply orange peel powder from HESH (used as exfoliation scrub). U will have an idea of this packet at http://www.spicesofindia.co.uk/acat…. Or you can buy everyouth orange peel pack (not powder).

Also before going to bed (just after facial steam) apply moisturizer which suits your skin. It's important to moisturize, especially with pimples and even if its already oily, but it keeps your skin healthy. Dry skin can cause more breakouts/pimples after exfoliation (scrubbing your face with facial buff) than moisturizer.

Try to use oil free moisturizer if u get at your location (or else fine). Also try to see if the ingredients are Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and C, Green Tea, Rosemary, Sage are present. If not, soak almonds (badam) morning and in the evening apply it on your face. Let it stay for 1 hr (if it gets dried, sprinkle water). Then clean with cold (not steam water or warm water) water.

All these will help cleanse your pores, remove all the dirt, make your skin feel soft, add a slight glow, and finally add moisture to your skin all at the same time.

Did you have pimples / acne? Depending on how severe the scars are, a doctor or dermatologist may suggest a chemical peel or microdermabrasion to help improve the appearance of scarred areas. These milder treatments can be done right in the office.

If you want to try something at home first, here are some remedies

Drink loads of water Apply Vitamin E oil (from capsules) on the scars Eating a balance diet may help in removing acne scars.

Any vegetable or fruit that has an astringent quality will help smoothen uneven skin texture and reduce open pores.

Add a few drops of lime juice to tomato juice. Apply on open pores for 20 minutes. Wash with cold water.

The juice or pulp of Pineapple and Peaches and Papaya are very good. Always wash your face with cold water after steaming. In humid weather wash the face 2-3 times with cold water. If you have powdered orange peel, use this in place of soap.

There is really no permanent remedy for open pores. Toner tightens pores temporarily, so make it a point to apply toner regularly, after cleansing. Also, wash your face with cold water. Apply foundation to hide open pores. Use a good quality foundation with sunscreen. Foundation is actually beneficial for the skin, because it acts like a protective layer between your face and the elements. This is the best way that you can conceal open pores. Wash off the foundation as soon as you reach home with face wash, and follow up with toner. Clean and Clear is a good face wash for oily skin. Also, open pores on your nose may mean that you have a tendency to develop blackheads. If this is the case, get your blackheads removed reguarly with the help of blackhead removal strips. Using a face scrub on your nose daily helps prevent the formation of blackheads.

hi, Everybody has those. They're called pores. You may have a few bigger ones or craters from picking at blemishes, but chances are that YOU are the only one who really notices. We are our own worst critics.

Wash your face every night before you go to bed. Use exfoliant when you shower, then toner and moisturizer aftewards. You will wake up with baby soft skin!

This will not necessarily reduce the size of your pores or holes. Nothing can do that. But it will prevent new ones or the ones you have from looking any bigger, by keeping them clean.

Otherwise, a good foundation can help to camouflage them somewhat, but I wouldn't stress over it too much. The people who are important in your life and the KIND of people you want in your life will not judge you on such a minor thing as your skin

hi

To remove scars left behind from acne (holes) you will need to see a dermatologist. They may suggest microdermabrasion, which will sort of "scrub" away top layers of skin, getting beneath the scarring. It may require several treatments to totally heal though. There are many homemade recipes...but actually u being a guy i dnt know whether u r gonna use dem or not!..still...here r sum methods:

*mix rose water with 1 tbsp of powdered camphor and store it in air tight container in the refrigerator.

*Or 2 tbsp of fullers earth,5 ground cloves,a pinch of camphor and rose water.wash off with ice cold water.

*Take the cream from fresh milk, add few drops of lemon and apply on the face to remove pimples and acne.

*Grind the dried orange peels in water and apply the paste on the face. This removes pigmentation marks and pimple.

*Take equal quantities of alum and black pepper and apply on pimples and acne.

*Apply cucumber juice on face to remove pigmentation marks and pimples.

---People suffering with pimples and pigmentation marks should maintain a clean stomach. They should improve their digestive strength and keep the intestines clean. They should walk in open and fresh air and take proper diet.eat atleast 12 glasses of water each day and lots of green vegetables!

THE BIGGEST BLUNDER U WOULD DO , IF U TOUCH THEM OR PRICK THEM!..also dont use soap on your face!use medicated face wash like johnson & johnson's clean and clear! Good luck!

You have what are called open comedones which is an early form of acne. The treatment is Retin A Cream which is prescription to help remove the black marks and the enlarged pores on your face. You will have to visit your local dermatologist to get a prescription.

Get along to your local beauty consultant and get her to show you round the facial cleansers and astringents.

Its important once you clean your face with warm water and creams to close the pores with a cooling agent which encourages the pores to close. You could also use cold water splash after a warm face wash. Do this for about a minute.

Blackheads are an accumulation of grease and dirt so its important not to allow them to happen by daily cleansing routine

You may have either dialated pores or clogged pores. An easy way to fix this is to lightly exfoliate with what is known as an "exfoliating beauty puff". You can get them at most drugstores for a couple of dollars for a pack of 6. They're slightly abrasive, so don't scrub too hard. Start by rinsing your face with warm water. Then apply a light cleanser, dampen puff and work in gentle cirles all over your face, and especially in trouble areas. This should work clogged pores out over time. To close up dialated pores, finish your regime with a cotton swab dipped in witch hazel. It's a known anti-inflamatory that closes pores like a dream (also the main ingredient in many high end toners.. and a fraction of the price, you can also find this at most drugstores). Goodluck! 3

You can be more specific on how these holes are formed. Whether it is due to acne or accident or some other way. Let me give you some tips in general.

1. Peeling treatment will be helpful for you.

2..Lemon juice diluted in water can be applied externally because of its antiseptic quality.

3.Consult a dermatologist for proper treatment for the type of your skin.

4. Orange peel can be dried and powdered. This is made into paste with water and applied on face.
