You can open the milk maid tin with a tin opener. If you do not have atin opener with you then take a sharp knife and hit slowly on the top till it gets you a hole, big enough to get the liquid out.

Can you get some kind of can opener? We find two basic types, pictured at the below links:…

In a pinch we have used a knife to cut into the tin, however this can be dangerous and you should be very careful!

We use sweetened condensed milk instead of regular milk for a thick, special coffee or tea. It is also used in many sweets recipes. For example:

Condensed milk - 1 tin Paneer(Cottage cheese) - 1/2 kg Cardamom(Elakka) (powdered) - 3 - 4 nos Milk powder - 2 tbsp Silver leaf(Varak) - 1 no

1)Mash paneer coarsely and add milk powder to it.

2)Add condensed milk and mix.

3)Heat the mixture in a thick-bottomed pan.

4)Cook on medium heat with constant stirring till the mixture becomes thick which should take about 8 to 10 minutes.

5)Remove from the fire and spread onto a greased plate.

6)Sprinkle cardamom powder.

7)Top with silver leaf.

8)Cool and cut into squares.

hi you can open with can opener or just cut the lid with knife also enough that the condensed milk comes out. ras malai is the good one and this is the easy way to do it Ingredients 1 can of rasgullas (20-22 pieces) 18 ounces (1.5 cans) evaporated milk 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios 3 shelled green cardamoms 1/4 tsp crushed saffron

Method 1. Drain the sugar syrup from the rasgullas and set it aside.

2. Meanwhile, pour the evaporated milk in a wide container. Add enough sugar syrup to sweeten it to your liking. Then crush a big pinch of saffron with your fingers and add it to the milk.

3. Put the milk in the microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes.

4. While the milk is heating, squeeze the rasgullas Lift the rasgullas one by one with a spoon and put them in a lime squeezer. Squeeze them gently to remove all the sugar syrup they have absorbed. Take care not to break them.

5. Dunk the rasgullas in the hot milk, along with the shelled and powdered cardamoms. In a couple of minutes, they will soak up the milk and puff up like cotton balls.

6. Toast the chopped pistachios in the microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds.

7. Top with the nuts, and eat it warm or chilled.

Pour the remaining sugar syrup into a squirt bottle and use it to sweeten tea, coffee or lemonade. It will last for a couple of weeks in the refrigerator.

Hello Anonymous,

you can open the tin by a tin opener or a pointed thing that cuts it off..You can also use a little heated knife to open it.

You can made various types of receipes with that.. You can add it in fruit salads and top of icecreams,Cappicuinosand lot more as toppings..

You can make Milk Halwa Ingredients

1 tin Milkmaid 3 tbsp yogurt 1 tbsp ghee

Pour all the three in a microwavable bowl. Mix it well and cook in the microwave for 2 mins on High. Then remove and mix well and cook again for another 2 minutes on medium. Continue to do this until the mixture thickens to a halwa consistency. Don't forget to stir. For people who are good at cooking its easy to recognise if the dish is done by the smell. It takes about 10 mins altogether. Really easy and extremely tasty especially for people with a sweet tooth.

you can make carrot halwa too.. 1 cup milk with 1/2 cup carrot little sugar and milkmaid.. Boil carrot in the milk till it softs then add sugar(for your taste) and milmaid 1 cup.Stir it till it comes to halwa stage.. granish it with nuts.. Simply delicious sweet ..

Juss make a whole with a sharp instrument like needle thats enuf Im giving u a recipe by the way... Coconut-Cream Pie

Piecrust Ingredients:

2 cups dried unsweet coconut 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 stick butter, unsalted

Combine coconut, sugar and butter in a food processor; press into a pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Filling Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar 3 Tbs. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup condensed milk 1 cup coconut milk 1/2 cup fresh coconut 3 egg yolks 3 Tbs. butter 1 Tbs. vanilla 1 Tbs. coconut extract

In a medium saucepan whisk together sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add condensed milk, coconut milk, fresh coconut and egg yolks. Stir over medium heat until thickened, then bring to a boil for about a minute. Add butter, vanilla and coconut extract. Remove from heat and finish whisking. Pour into piecrust and place in refrigerator until set (2 to 3 hours).

If you don't wish to use meringue, add coconut extract to whipped cream for topping pie.

Meringue Ingredients:

5 egg whites 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 10 Tbs. sugar

Whip together egg whites and cream of tartar while slowly adding sugar. Immediately place on top of coconut pie and bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Homemade Chocolate Sauce Ingredients:

1 bag chocolate chips 2/3 cup water 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 1 can condensed milk

Combine ingredients in saucepan over medium heat, whisking until shiny and thick. Let cool to room temperature. Can be stored in refrigerator and reheated in the microwave for about 30 seconds. This is great drizzled on the plate with a slice of pie served on top, or you can drizzle sauce over the pie before adding meringue or whipped-cream topping.

Chef's Notes:

* Spray pie pan with nonstick butter spray before pressing in crust mixture.

* It takes the pie only 2 to 3 hours to set, but it's better to let it set overnight.

* When applying meringue, be sure that the topping comes in contact with the outer part of the pan: this helps the meringue stay stiff and full when cooked. Also, let it cool to room temperature before placing in the refrigerator.

7 oz. coconut, toasted in skillet with 1/4 c. butter 1 c. almonds OR pecans (may use both, mixed together) 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 (16 oz.) carton Cool Whip 1 jar caramel ice cream topping 2 baked pie crusts

Put sweetened condensed milk in a bowl; add cream cheese and beat until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip. Make layers: milk and cheese, then coconut and nuts, pour some caramel topping, then repeat layers. Freeze. Let set out a little while before serving. Yield: Makes 2 pies.

usually these types of tins are openend with tin opener. if you dont have tin opener just take a pointed object and push it through and drain the contents thru the hole.. If you dont want to use the contents fully at a time you can store it in a sealed container and keep it in fridge. I am not sure whether milk maid is coming in cans with easy-open end cans, if it is so just pull the tab.… see this shows a video on hoe to open a tin

You can add milkmaid to tea and coffee. it tases better. you can even make kheer(payasam) using this. Kheer Ingredients: 100g rice 1 tin sweetened condensed milk or milkmaid 1 litre milk Chopped nuts and cardamom powder for decoration Kheer Method: Wash rice and pressure cook in milk for 10 minutes (or cook on slow fire, till rice is soft). Add condensed milk and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes, stirring continuously, until the kheer reaches a desired consistency. Remove from fire. Serve garnished with nuts and cardamom powder. If kheer is served chilled, keep it a little sweeter because cold kheer tastes less sweet than hot kheer. Serves: 8 Preparation time: 25-30 minutes
