Dear Aish,

Here is a good recipe for Bagara Rice:

Ingredients: Rice - 2 cups, Salt - to taste Oil - 1/4 cup,Water - 7 cups Onions - 3 (big), Cloves - 8 to 10 Curry Leaves - few Green Chillies - 8 to 10 Corriander Leaves - 1 Cardamom - 8 Cinnammon - 4 inchBundle Mint Leaves - 12 to 15 Tomatoes - 6 (chopped) Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 1/2 level tsp. Method Preparation: Fry the onions till golden brown add the green chillies, cloves, cinnammon, cardamom, curry leaves, mint leaves, ginger/garlic paste and fry on low heat till the raw smell goes. Add tomatoes and fry nicely, then add the rice and fry for few minutes, add the salt to taste, 7 cups of water and bring to boil, then lower flame cover and cook for 8-10 mins till rice is done. If you are using in rice cooker, add the washed rice in the bucket, add the fried ingredients to the rice in cooker bucket, add the 7 cups of water, cover, plug it on and allow to cook, it will automatically switch off once the rice is done.
