Hi Mam. PG Diploma course is offered through distance education.
But, The Department of Communication, located within the prestigious Sarojini Naidu School of Performing Arts, Fine Arts & Communication does offer an MA in Communication. The school has faculty trained in nationally and internationally reputed institutions and well-equipped studios and laboratories, the department provides students balanced inputs in both theory and practice of mass communication. Filmmakers, video professionals, journalists, corporate communication specialists, and leading scholars from India and abroad constitute a panel of eminent visiting faculty, who offer value addition to the training being given to the students.
The department offers a two-year M.A Communication. Students who join the programme can specialize in one of four streams of specialization:
a) Radio & video production b) Print & New Media c) Communication Studies d) Advertising & Public Relations
Admission to the MA programme is through an all-India written test and oral interview. Check out for a nation-wide advertisement in all major newspapers for the admission notification sometime in late March or early April. The entrance test is held in all the major cities of the country normally in June. Students who qualify in the written test will be called for an interview at their own expense to the school. Seats are reserved as per university policy.
The written test will comprise sections on current affairs, general knowledge, English language capabilities, precis writing and essays on both current affairs and general knowledge. Candidates appearing for the examination will also be required to write a Statement of purpose. The written test is held for 100 marks.
To prepare well for the exam, please do the following: 1. Keep key dates of exam/submission of application form in mind. 2. Study sample question papers thoroughly. 3. You must prepare for 8-12 weeks, keeping in mind that the written test will comprise sections on current affairs, general knowledge, English language capabilities, precis writing and essays on both current affairs and general knowledge. 4.
