Sathu maavu Kanji is a highly nutritious porridge made with powder of various combination of grains. People use to serve this kanji especially for children and elderly people. Ingredients: Raagi - 1/2 kg Wheat - 200 gm Pulungal Arisi - 200 gm Groundnuts - 50 gm Pottukadalai - 200 gm Cashews - 15 gm Badam - 15 gm Javarisi - 200 gm Barley Arisi - 200 gm Sukku - 5 gm Pasiparrupu - 200 gm Vasambu - small piece Ommam - 50 gm
Method: 1. Dry roast each ingredient. (If possible sun dry and then dry roast). 2. Grind them all together
Sathu mavu kanji
Ingredients: Sathu Maavu - 2 tsp Water - 1/4 cup Milk - 1/2 cup Sugar / Salt - to taste
Method: 1. Mix the above contents and boil well. 2. Stir occasionally. 3. Let cool to luke warm stage and serve
