FRIED RICE

Cooking procedure:
Halve cashew nuts and keep aside.

In a large skillet, on less than medium, heat butter and when slightly melted, add cashew nuts and sugar. When sugar melts and turns brown, add rice and fry for 5 minutes on high heat. Then add water and salt and let it come to a boil. Lower heat and let it cook until the water content decreases to less than half. Then add milk and simmer on low heat. Simmer until all liquid is absorbed.
Any additional information:
This is a very easy and aromatic rice dish. Milk makes rice look very white ("looks like jasmine flower", that is, the rice is as white as the flower- as they say in my village).

This rice goes best with curries which are rich in taste. Additionally, you can add a cardamom to the boiling rice.
