List of ingredients: Calculate grocery list for multiple recipes
No. Ingredient Qty Measure Wt.(gms)
1 Rava(Semolina) Fine 1/2 cup 84.00
2 Yogurt 1/4 cup 50.00
3 Cashew Nuts 21/2
4 Ginger Julienne 1/4 tablespoon 4.13
5 Green Chilis 1 small
6 Coriander Leaves (dhaniya) 1/4 fistful
7 Cumin Seeds (Cumin, Jeera) 0.38 teaspoon 0.79
8 Black pepper corns (pepper corns) 1/8 teaspoon 0.39
9 Baking powder 1/8 teaspoon 0.63
10 Salt 1/4 to taste 0.25
11 Oil for deep frying 1/4

Cooking procedure:
Mix together all the ingredients except oil. you may also add a tablespoon or two of water to adjust the consistency of this mixture.

The consistency is slightly more liquidy than the typical choclate chip cookie dough. Cover and keep aside for forty five minutes.

At the end of that time, divide the mixture/batter into walnut sized balls (or even smaller) and keep aside. In a deep, wide skillet heat oil on medium heat. You can test if oil is ready by dropping a pinch of the batter in to the skillet. If it sinks, then the oil is not yet hot enough. If it bobs on the surface and bubbles form around it, then the oil is ready.

Now deep fry the balls until golden brown.

Serve with coconut chutney (Kobbari Pacchadi).
Any additional information:
An easier way is to take a tablespoon and scoop out the batter into the hot oil -- that is, do away with making the balls.
