Indian Budget |
| Question: | |
I am a bit concerned over the way, we in India have started worshipping CEO's of companies. It seems quite shameless the way they are sought out to comment on every major and minor thing happening in our country. Why are we putting up with it? Just see for instance, when the latest budget was presented, immediately all the corporations head were asked for their responses. I can understand heads of Indian companies like Wipro, Satyam etc commenting, but Microsoft india..? That is going a bit far -- it is colonization all over again -- last time it was with language and skin color, this time with money. What can we do to stop this slide to worshipping the rich and powerful? Can we empower common man and woman? Can we talk about our achievements in humanities, linguistics, economics, arts, and not just money making? Can you pls give me some suggestions on what I could do to change this current trend. Thank you.
