My PC Restarts when i change my resolution to 1024 X 768 Plz. Help immediate.? |

Hi friends : I m unable to set my screen res. to 1024 X 768.....,,,, I have P4 2.6 GHZ, 512 MB RAM, Win XP SP2. I have changed my screen resolution from 1024 X 768 to 800 X 600 for some reason, but when i try to switch back to previous res. (1024 X 768) system restarts (when clicking apply button) but the res. doesn't change (it keeps 800 X 600) Please help i m in trouble...

Go to Display Properties => Under the settings tab => click the advanced option => In the new pop up box, under the general tab => check if Restart the computer........new display settings is checked

What do terms L2 Cache and FSB stand for ? I'm in dilemna should I go for 1.86 or 2.13 Ghz coz there is very less difference between them. As for the motherboard in shops the one that most of them have is Intel DG 965 RY. What do you think about this Mother board? I tried to check about MSI and Asus also but either they are too expensive or they are not available. I checked out onn MSI 965 Platinum/Neo. Please help!

L2 stands for external cache memory. FSB stands for Front Side Bus. If you are using your system for playing high graphic games , then go for 2.13 GHz.
