Dear Akshar I would like to know the universities in USA providing Masters in Electronics/electrical with VLSI design as a major course.Else could you send me a site where I can search universities based on the course offered?I would like to join a fulltime course there by fall 2007.I have a GRE score of 790 in quantitative and 510 in verbal and my overal for BTech is 71%.I will only be taking TOEFL next week. Also could you please let me know how the GPA is calculated?Whether its based solely on Bachelors or any other score too?If so can you tell me of any agency or anyone who can help me calculate my GPA.Also I would like to know whether the GPA is out of 4 or 5? Subject: H1B to F1 conversion

Hi, I currently hold an h1B visa and might be going to the US on account of office work. I plan to go for higher studies after working there for about an year. In such a case will i need to have my visa converted to f1. Also please let me know the following 1. I have a bachelors degree in electronics and want to pursue my masters in the same field.so will my experience in software be useful when i apply to the colleges in US. 2. Is it possible to study in the US on an H1B visa 3. If not then what is the procedure to convert my visa from H1b to f1 4.will i need to come back to india for the conversion or can i do the same in US itself. 5. The cost of converting an h1b to f1 visa
