brown patches |

I prepared idli batter for my friend with Bansi idli rava and urad dhal( 3:1.5) just as a help as she was busy with some chores. But i was surprised to hear her say the idlis had reddish brown patches. The answer to similar query posted in amma.com clarified my confusion. But the very next day when I blended for idli in the same ratio (this time mixed bansi and laxmi idli rava) there were no such patches on the idli. Why is this strange difference? Kindly help me clear this.
