| my father dies in year 2000 without leaving a will.He had ancestoral lands in his name and a house constructed by him and some cash. In the succession certificate, only my mothers and 3 brothers name was registered saying that married daughters hav no right on fathers property. In aug 2008 my eldest brother expired. So after his death , his wife's name was also included in the succession certificate and not his unmarried daughters' name saying -girls hav no right to fathers ancestoral property. This happened in Deoria (U.P). I am a married female and want my share in my father's property and I live in Bhilai (C.G) . How I can claim that.Do I have any right to my fathers property. the lawyers in Deoria say that married daughter's name is not included in the succession certificate and hav no right to father's property. Want to know what I can do in such a case. |
