Question:  where else can I buy dishwasher salt? the 1 kg container that IFB provides is expensive.can I use washing soap powders like surf or ariel in the dishwasher? can rinse aid be purchased from local market?Is there any other alternative for rinse aid?

You should not use detergent powders to wash dishes. you may use cleaning soaps like VIM, EXO .

You can use normal salt in the dishwaher, don't use crystal salt. You will get " Dishwashing liquid" in normal general stores. You should not use normal hand dish washing liquids,
