Subject: legal advice regarding a rip off

hi I need some legal advice and would really appreciate a quick reponse. I joined my daughter in a daycare, which i didnt like after a month and gave them a 30day notice (which is the rule as per hand book given by the school to get my one mnth deposit back) but now they say the contract is sep-june and i can't get my mnth dep(apprx $400) back. can I fight this in any way, please let me know. I didnt sign any statement saying the contract is sep-june. thankyou frustrated parent
