Our Pledge
Ammas pledges to its users:
Ammas.com values, and seeks to emphasize and protect, knowledge passed down through generations.
Ammas.com seeks to be a family-oriented on-line community, where users can feel safe from unlawful harasssment.
Ammas.com will not engage in advertising that falsely represents Ammas, targets children, makes false promises, or exploits phsychological needs unreleated to the offering.
Ammas.com will not advertise, endorse or license the Ammas brand to any product or service that doesn't meet the following criteria:
- The product or service must be approved by a 2/3 majority of at least seven members of the Council of Ammas in the applicable category.
- The production or office facilities of the product or service must be inspected and approved by an officially designated member of Ammas.com.
- Food and personal care products must be all-natural and contain an accurate and complete ingredient list. Preference is given to products that are: free-range, organic, non genetically modified and/or have environmentally friendly packaging (recycled, recyclable, etc.)
- Production facilities must meet international environmental safety standards.
- Paper products must be 100% recycled (minimum 20% post-consumer content) and use no chlorine bleach. Preference is given to products containing more than 20% post-consumer content.
- Preference for cleaning products is given to those that are all-natural, have environmentally friendly packaging (recycled, recyclable, etc.) and are chemically sensitivity safe.
- For Artwork, Non-Profit, and Partners' products the "themes" of the products must be related to social and/or environmental issues that are in keeping with the values of Ammas.com. Preference is given to products that are recycled, organic and all-natural.
