Chutney : Putnala pappu Pachadi

Number of servings: 2

List of ingredients:

Cooking procedure

1/2 cup veyinchina senaga pappu or putnala pappu

1 cup chopped or grated coconut (more if you like it)

2 green chillies or 3 red chillies

a wee bit ginger (optional)

2 - 3 spoons tamarind pulp


2 spoons peanut oil

1 spoon mustard seeds

1 spoon senaga pappu

1 spoon minapa pappu

1 spoon jeera

6 - 7 curry leaves

Grind all the ingredients coarsely. Heat oil in a pan, add all the ingredients under popu and let the mustard splutter. Add this to the chutney and add salt to taste. That's it youre done.
