Akki Roti

Akki Roti is one of the famous dishes of
Karnataka. This tastes very good with
coconut chutney. |
| List of ingredients: |
| Qty | Measure | Ingredient | Wt.(gms) |
| 2 | Cups | rice flour | |
| 11/2 | Cups | grated coconut | |
| 1 | Cup | chopped coriander leaves | |
| 4 | Medium | onions | |
| 3 | Teaspoon | jeera seeds | |
| 2 | Stems | curry leaves (chop it nicely) | |
| 5 | or more | green chillies | |
| 1 | Teaspoon or to taste | salt | |
| 1/2 | Teaspoon | sugar | |
| Cooking procedure |
1. Mix coconut, onions, curry leaves, green chillies, coriander leaves, and salt properly
with little water. Squeeze it properly till they all get blended properly. (Mix for atleast
10 minutes, the more they mix, the better the roti will taste).
2. Add the rice flour with some more water and mix properly so that it mixes with other
ingredients (This dough should be like chapati dough). Set aside for some time.
3. Put some oil on the center of griil or pan(cooled pan). Roll small portions of dough to
form medium sized roti. Apply oil around the roti and make a small hole at the center of
roti, and cook at low flame till it is done.
Serve hot with coconut chutney!! |

| You can store the dough in fridge for about 2 days. |
| Any additional information: |
| You can add chopped methi leaves for extra taste. Add nicely chopped methi leaves along with
coriander leaves. |
