|Ambode is one of the main side snacks prepared for allmost all festival and for many occassion. Amobde is everybody's favorite on a rainy day. It tastes good for evening snacks also with coffee and tea.|
|List of ingredients:|
|1. Soak channa dal for about 2hrs and grind it with green chillies
without adding water to corase paste. ( Do not grind into fine
2. To that add salt, asafoetida, chopped onion, chopped curry leaves and mix properly.
3. Make small lemon size balls out of the mixture. Press them in between the palms into flat. Do not press with your fingers as it will leave finger mark.
4. In a kadai, heat oil for deep frying, when its hot, add 3 - 4 amobode and keep the flame in medium. Fry till ambode becomes golden brown in color.

|You can also add chopped dill leaves for extra taste and smell.|
Adding onions makes ambode little soft. If you want your ambodes to become crispy, omit onions.
