Mamidikaya Pappu

Number of servings: 4

List of ingredients:
1 green mango  
1 cup toor dal  
1 onion  
4 green chillies  
4 tb sp oil  
3 red chillies  
1 sp mustard seeds  
1 sp chana dal  
1 sp split urad dal  
1 pinch asafoetida  
curry leaves  
1 1/2 sp salt  
1 1/2 sp chilly powder  
1 clove garlic  

Cooking procedure
Wash the toor dal and add 3 cups of water, onions and green chillies to that and boil this.

When the dal is cooked add Mango pieces to that and boil that until the Mango gets cooked.

Then add salt and chilly powder and remove from heat.Smash the dal.

Heat oil in another kadai and add red chillies, mustard, urad dal, chana dal, asafoetida and a garlic clove.

When it turns light brown color add the dal to this. Turn off the heat and serve hot with rice or chapathi.
