Rice : Mango Rice

Number of servings: 4

List of ingredients:
1 cup grated raw mango  
2 cups cooked rice  
salt to taste  
Popu (seasoning)
½ spoon mustard seeds  
½ spoon jeera  
½ spoon chana dal  
½ spoon urad dal  
2 spoons oil or butter  
3 chopped green chillies  
2 spoons chopped, roasted almonds  
2 spoons chopped, roasted cashews  
2 spoons kishmish (raisins)  

Cooking procedure
Heat oil in a pan and add urad dal, chana dal, jeera, and mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds start to splitter, add green chillies and grated mango. If the mango is too sour, reduce the amount used; if it is not sour, increase the amount used or add some lime juice.. Fry for about 10 mins. Add salt and rice and mix well. Let it cook for some more time. Garnish and serve hot.
Any additional information:
Good substitute for the usual lemon rice or pulihara. Can be served with Pudina pachadi and some papads
