Rice : Curd Rice

Number of servings: 2

  A great dish for a hot summer day.  

List of ingredients:
¼ cup curds  
2 cups cooked rice  
salt to taste  
Popu (seasoning)
½ spoon mustard seeds  
½ spoon jeera  
½ spoon chana dal  
½ spoon urad dal  
3 spoons ghee  
4 to 5 curry leaves  
1 green chilli chopped  
a handful dry fruits  
3 spoons cashews roasted in ghee  
a few chopped corriander leaves  

Cooking procedure
Add ghee in a pan and add urad dal, chana dal, jeera, and mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds start to splitter, add green chillies and curry leaves. Remove from heat and let it cool. Make sure the rice is at room temperature. Mix the curds and rice well. Mix the seasoning. Garnish with dried fruits, cashews and coriander leaves and serve cold.
