Cabbage Vada

Cabbage vada is a easy snack that is tasty
and can be made in a jiffy. It is a good
snack to make when you have unexpected
guests. |

| Ingredients: |
| 3 | cups | cabbage (chopped into long pieces) | |
| 1/2 | cup | onion (chopped into big pieces) | |
| 2 | in number | green chillies (chopped fine) | |
| 1/2 | tsp | ginger-garlic paste | |
| 1 | tbsp | coriander (cilantro) leaves - chopped | |
| 1 | tsp | red chilli powder | |
| 1 | tsp | salt (or to taste) | |
| 2 | cups | besan (gram flour) | |
| For Deep frying: |
| 4 | cups | oil | |
| Cooking procedure |
| Method:
Mix all the ingredients for the vada in a mixing bowl with very little water (1/2 cup).
Heat the oil in a deep bottomed pan. When the oil is hot, dropa small spoon full of the
vada batter in the oil and deep fry until golden brown. Make the rest of the vadas the
same way. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup. |
