Very cherry sorbet.

Preparation time ([days] hrs:min): 00:05

Cooking time ([days] hrs:min): 00:10

No. of servings: 5

List of ingredients:

  • 454 g dark sweet pitted cherries, fresh or frozen  
  • 340 g frozen cherry juice concentrate  
  • 50 g powdered sugar  
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract  
  • 250 ml water  
  • 50 ml mandarin orange liqueur or mandarin orange-flavoured syrup  

Cooking procedure:

1. Puree the cherry to a smooth paste. 2. Puree again with the remaining ingredients, except the liqueur or syrup, until well blended. 3. Refrigerate until cold, then process as directed for sorbet. 4. In the final stages of freezing, add the liqueur or syrup.
