Q: I haven't had a period since July 8th and it is now September 5. The last time I had sex was back in June sometime. I have taken pregnancy tests at home and 3 of them have came back negative. Around August 28th I started having a little bit of brown blood for a couple of days and each time is was little bit and that lasted for about 3 days and nothing since then. Can you help me?

A: This means one you had got your period after having sex. Your home pregnancy self test revealed negative. So your are not pregnant now. No need to worry. Brown Blood discharge may be due to some current abnormalities which should checked and tested with a gynecologist. Some vaginal discharge is normal for all women, especially those in their reproductive years. he fluids, chemicals and organisms of the vagina have a natural balance. When in balance, they help to clean the vagina and protect it from outside organisms. Any change to that natural balance can affect the characteristics of vaginal discharge. Changes may originate from both internal factors (e.g., hormonal changes, stress) or from external factors (e.g., infection, poor hygiene). Normal vaginal discharge is clear or white with no bad odor. Change in the color, odor or consistency of vaginal discharge may indicate an infection, such as changes in amount, color and odor. If it is a white discharge then such is common for females at times. Vaginal infections, such as bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis (yeast infection), and trichomoniasis are common causes of abnormal vaginal discharge. Some infections are transmitted by having sex, such as gonorrhea. Other infections can occur with or without having sex, such as bacterial vaginosis or yeast infection. Trichomoniasis, a common sexually transmitted disease (STD), may cause a musty, stale odor. Discharge may become grayish or yellow-green and may become thicker. Trichomoniasis also often causes vaginal itching and pain during urination.

But Brown/Greenish etc. discharges should be tested. Sudden change in vaginal discharge should be reported to a physician, preferably an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB.Gyn). If there is infection, it can be treated and the vaginal discharge should return to normal levels.

Q: I am 5ft tall weigh 147 lbs. do not seem to reduce my weight despite lot of efforts. My cholesterol and lipid profile levels are perfect. Please suggest some remedy

A: this means you have to reduce your weight at least 10-15 kgs. There is a need for strict diet control and hard exercises. When you succeed to reduce your weight byr egular workouts then seriously maintain the same strictness for all time for not getting in reverse. Avoid fat and spicy food items, meat, milk, fish etc. and sugar also. cycling and hectic walk for one hour daily is suggested. Cardio vasular exercises are also very useful for the same. All you need is a committed and dedicated application.

-- Sheela, NZ Sep 09 06
A: According to the web site which i had mentioned below Pregnant women should not see the sun or the moon during the time of the eclipse. If they do the child born may have some kind of defect. The child may be born deaf, dumb or blind. Householders are forbidden from sexual intercourse on the day of the eclipse, for the same reason. Even science says that during eclipse lots of germs are produced which has adverse effects on the human body.

Q: can i take regesteone to stimulate my periods when im not sure tat im pregnant or not?
-- sherfy, india Sep 09 06
A: Any medicine/drug at such a time should be taken only with the prescription and guidance from a qualified gynacologist. First you should wait for a week and take home pregnancy test one or twice then confirm it with the test by gynacologist. Then only you need to take regestrone etc. hormones to stimulate and thereby to get your periods.

Q: ok me nd my boyfriend was havin sex.we was only doing it for like 30 min. so he was no where near erected and i missed a day of bith control. can i still get pregant? so i been feeling weird but my menstural cycle havn't came yet. is that a sign? it normally comes the 1st of the month.
-- kimmy muffin, United States of America Sep 09 06
A: This depends upon your ovulation status at the time of copulation while you missed the birth control. Yes, your chance of getting pregnant cannot be ruled out. Be careful every time when you are being with your boy friend. Wait for one week more and then try for a home pregnancy test one or two times in a week. Further you are advised to take a pregnancy test which is more authentic than home pregnancy test, with the help of a gynacologist.

Q: Namaste, I would like to know if anybody can tell me where I can buy a Tulsi plant in Toronto Canada?
-- Jessica Smith, Canada Sep 09 06
A: It is not possible for me to say exactly you can buy there Tulsi Plant at Toronto but i should suggest you to demand the seeds of Tulsi from India if you are having relatives/friend circle here in India. You can easily grow the seeds to plants there without any one's physical help. So try for the same.

Q: i want to know what time is best suited to make love so that pregnancy will not take place. i mean without using any contraceptives how pregnancy may be avoided.?
-- Anonymous, Unknown Sep 09 06
A: You can have it just one week just after your Mensturation and 5-6 days just before getting your mensus. This is a simple, easy understandable calculation. But i can't suggest for it because every body is different and changes in bodily functioning can occur at any time. So Keep it in mind before trying to have intercourse without contraception.
