RECIPE OF THE WEEK
--Prawn Pakora--
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
20 large prawns, cleaned and de-veined, tails on
1 clove garlic
1 tsm minced fresh ginger
2-3 minced green chillies
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 c besan (gram flour)
2 tbsp rice flour
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp or to taste chilli powder
1/2 tsp or to taste garam masala
chopped fresh coriander
water
oil to deep fry and sauces to serve
Procedure:
Marinate the prawns with all the ingredients from the first block of ingredients. Keep in fridge for at least 2 hours.
Mix all the ingredients from the second block into batter (including finely chopped coriander, using enough water to achieve thick cream consistency. Dip the marinated prawns in.
Deep fry in hot oil until golden and drain on kitchen towels.
Serve with ketchup, sweet chilli sauce, etc.
BEAUTY TIP OF THE WEEK
Do bot use too much eye cream, especially at night. An amount the size of a small rice grain for both eyes is sufficient. Too much eye cream can actually contribute to eye bags.
