| Q: | Can you please sende me vamsa vrithistothram.I have tried hard but could not get it -- Saras, Unknown Nov 02 06 |
| A: | Dear Saras, In this site, www.prapatti.com… you have one more stotram called "Putrapraaptyashtakam." You can listen to this. It is in the MP3 format. Good luck!!! |
| Q: | my kid used to go to a self defence academy.now we stoped, because i delivered a baby,so unable to take the first kid to the classes.but they were charging me until now for the service i didn't get.so i payed them 6 moths of fees for nothing.i have been requesting them not to charge.but they didn't listen.it has been clearly given in their notice of consumer's rights that,if you become disabled for at least 3 months during the membership terms and that disability is confirmed in writing by a physician, you have a right to an extension and/or termination of the contract.(the contract is from april 2006 to april 2007,and i was disabled from may 06).and i also informed them about my disability from may month onwards one month before itself.so can somebody please tell me how to get back my money.is there any conumer forum that i can file a complaint against them? and get the justice done.please throw me some light in this matter.i really appreciate your help.thanks in advance.please help me to find a consumer forum in boston area.thank you. -- poornima, India Nov 04 06 |
| A: | Dear Poornima, The disability concession is only for your child and it is not for you. You stopped your child from the classes because of your inability to take your child to the classes. That is immaterial for the academy. Only if your child was disabled due to some genuine reason, you would get your money back. It is because of this reason that they are still charging you. But since you have given in writing to cancel the membership, they must have done so after taking nominal charges. You can fight your case in consumer forum for the same. But how far your case will succeed is a concern as for the reasons in the previous para. Good luck!!! |
| Q: | Hi,
I have to fill an application and these are few of the questions I need to answer.Kindly help me with the same.
1.Please tell us about what you perceive to be your most challenging/ fulfilling work experience.
2.Please explain your understanding of the positions available giving reasons why you think you would enjoy this work, and a brief explanation of the steps you have taken to clarify your thinking.
3.Is there any additional information you would like to add to support your application? Please include details of main positions of responsibility, awards gained and any interests and achievements such as team contributions that haven’t already been covered above
4.why have you chosen this particular company.
5.I am a recent graduate with little experience in my field of study./However I have undertaken a number of part-time jobs during the tenure of my studies to support myself.Do I list all the jobs irrelevant to the field of my study and profession. -- Anonymous, United States of America Nov 06 06 |
| A: | Dear Anonymous, 1. You have to clarify the members regarding the previous jobs handled by you and also the reason for quitting the same and joining another concern. They may also want to know why you chose that particular job. Was it because of your passion for that job or you just entered into that job for the simple reason of gaining experience or you badly needed the job at that time. This is asked mainly to know, if you would invest a good time with the present concern or you will leave them within a short time. 2.The choice of the position that you opted for in the present concern. Why you think you are suited for this job? Is it because you are having the needed experience from the previous jobs or you feel you are the right person for this job. Everyone are looking for atleast a minimum experience in the job to be handled by the interviewee. 3.Your CV must include all the minute details of your previous job positions- right from the scratch like your summer assignments or projects handled by you in various concerns, your part-time job details along with the positions. (This should be relevant to the job that is applied for now.)Responsibilities handled by you in these various positions like what you were expected to do, was it an individual effort or team effort to achieve the goals, any awards that you gained during your previous jobs like "Best marketing person," etc; If you have gained any certificates you can mention in the CV and show the board the same when you are called for the interview. 4.This is a common question which is asked by the board. There are innumerable companies springing up these days. The management may be eager to know why you chose this particular company. Was it because of the reputation of the concern, the management, the profits, the perks and incentives, duty hours and holidays, etc; Your answer should be very modest for this question. You should not exaggerate or you may find yourself fallen into a trap. You can say,"This concern has a good will and reputation in the eyes of the public. The overall performance is laudable and splendid. There is much scope for improvisation and promotion in this concern. More than anything else, this concern offers good scope for learning and for applying our skills to its core. All this reflects upon the good team work and an excellent management."As regards your final question, you have to apply for a job, only if you feel that you are really worth for that job or else your CV would be rejected for sure. If you were in to a part-time job and a fresh graduate, there are number of openings for the freshers which demands less experience and they also train you for the job. You can definitely look in for such jobs. Once you gain a good experience like 1 -2 years, then you can switch over to another concern. Good luck!!! |

| A: | Dear Mr. Rao, You can browse the local newspapers available in the gulf regions like Gulf News or Khaleej Times where in there are appointment times Column/magazine available which mentions about the jobs that are available in various big organisations. To be short, let me tell you that, since these companies have a long-term contract with their employees, it may not be such easier to enter in to these bigger organisations unless they demand it very badly. Most jobs are of the middle or the top level categories like the HR Manager, Finance manager, Marketing manager, etc; which needs minimum of 12-15 years of experience in the similar industry. | Q: | I would like to know how useful wearing a corset belt is, when one wants to achieve a smaller waist and an hour glass figure?
The type of belt to be used is made of an elastic material with velcro for tighening. I am slim of built but would like to further decrease my waist size. How long will it take for the changes to be noticeable, and when and for how long should I wear it? -- Aditi K, India Nov 07 06 |
| A: | Dear Aditi, Corset Belt is a unique costuming element and corseting system for the hips that allows for a close, comfortable, and firm fit that truly conforms to your body and stays put! Corsets are usually made of firm materials (such as satin, brocade or cotton) and embrace the torso from the hips up to the bosom. Wrinkles in the material are prevented by flexible busks. A robust front clasp makes it possible to put the corset on and pull it off fast. The lacing is at the back; it functions just like the lacing of shoes or boots. Generally speaking a corset has three effects on your body: it makes your waist smaller, it lifts and supports your bosom, it improves your posture. They enhance the beauty, elegance, femininity and attractivity of each woman. Aside from these main effects corsets have, of course, other, agreeable impacts on your body: if the corset is long enough below the waist, then it makes your stomach perfectly flat, the corset supports your back when you have to sit on a chair for a long time; this is comfortable and it makes sense from an orthopaedic point of view. To sum up it can be said that corset-wearing has the following effects: a small waist, a beautiful bosom, a flat stomach and an erect posture. They all influence your appearance positively. By using a corset you can get an aesthetically pleasing body shape and you won't suffer from any health problems if you apply an adequate method to get accustomed to corset-wearing. | Q: | castor oil -- Sruthi Krishnamoorthi, United States of America Nov 08 06 |
| A: | Dear Shruti, Castor oil has much of medicinal use. It is used to ease constipation and also as an emetic to induce vomiting. It is also given to pregnant women to induce the labour in the nearing stages of delivery. Castor oil comes from the seed of a plant called Ricinus communis, which grows in most parts of the world. To obtain castor oil, one simply removes the hulls of the seeds and cold-presses them. I don't know for what for you have asked about Castor oil. But this is the general information for your query. Next time, try to make your query more specific. Good luck!!! |
| Q: | I have a baby girl nearing one year, but she weighs only 6 kgs. Her birth weight was 3 kgs and it is full time delivery. She is having poor eating habits. Whatever she eats she eats very little and there is no favourite to her, I tried all the stuff you can give to a baby, everything she eats but only few bytes. major problem is, she is not drinking milk by bottle, or glass and spoon. Totally she rejects cow's milk, and whenever she is hungry she likes to feed from me(breast milk) only. I think it is not sufficiant to her. However hungry she is, she will not eat anykind of food other than breast milk. I request ammas to give some sujestions so that I can increase her body weight. But she is very active, she can recognise all items in the house, when we ask for some itmes by name she points to that, like fan, clock etc, she scrolls very fast, now walks by support, always she talks with me some bla bla, and other activities also normal. The problem is She looks so mal-nutritioned and very thin. I am totally depressed. -- Nithya Shivakumar, Bangalore Nov 08 06 |
| A: | Dear Nithya, As your child is nearing one year, you can slowly start with all types of foods that the adults eat. But, curtail giving her curds for another few months. You can try the following: 1. See what your child likes first. 2. If she likes more of liquid items, then you can go in for home-made juice or milk-shake preparations out of apples, grapes, oranges, water-melon, tomatoes, pine-apples etc; 3. You have to remember that the toddler's tummy is growing now only and that it cannot take more than what it needs. So, try everything in small quantities but in frequent intervals. 4. Consult your pediatrician for "DE-WORMING." Sometimes, because of some worms also she may not have the appetite. 5. Give her supplementaries of iron after consulting your pediatrician. 6. It's important not to push food on a child who's not hungry. On the other hand, a child shouldn't be allowed to eat on demand all day long. Iron Intake It's important to watch out for iron deficiency after your child reaches 1 year of age. It can affect a child's physical, mental, and behavioral development, and can also lead to anemia. To help prevent iron deficiency: limit your child's milk intake to 16 to 24 full ounces (480-720 milliliters) a day increase iron-rich foods in your child's diet like iron-fortified snacks, meat, poultry, fish, beans, and tofu continue serving iron-fortified cereal until your child is 18 to 24 months old Talk with your child's doctor if you're concerned that your child drinks a lot of cow's milk or isn't getting enough iron, or if you're thinking of giving your child any vitamin supplement. http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/nu… 7. If you have children near by your house or flat, you can make them come to your house and play and in that time, you can give her some solid diet like dal rice, rasam rice, carrot mashed, or par-boiled rice porridge, etc; Children likes company of their age-group. 8. If you feel your child is mal-nutritioned, then it is apt to talk to your child's doctor and examine her thoroughly for any other problems. Do not worry. Good luck!!! |
