Q: i m 30 yrs old.i find fine expression lines on my face.my skin is not glowing now.how can i care my skin & protect from wrinkle lines?
-- Anonymous, Unknown Sep 12 06
A: Dear Anonymous, You can use lemon juice. Apply it all over the face and leave it for 15-20 mins and then wash it off with cool water. If you have pimples, do not use lime as it contains citric acid which will irritate the skin and make it worse.

You can apply milk layer on your face before bath. You can also use butter as it will soften the skin. You can use besan flour mixed with milk or curd.

You can also use a scrubber which will exfoliate your skin and give it a lustre. Take a few almonds and powder it.This you can mix it with milk and apply as a scrub. You can also use Apricot instead which has the same effect.

Do not change your soap frequently. Use a mild soap like Dove which can retain the moisturiser in your skin. If you are a person who go out very frequently, or where the job demands more travelling, use a UV protected cream or a sun block cream so as to avoid tanning during travelling or in summer. Drink plenty of water, coconut juice, etc; Wear long sleeves cotton clothing while going out so that you are not much exposed to the sun.

Potato juice is a great complexioner. Squeeze the juice of the potato by shredding it on the shredder and apply it as a mask. In a few days, you can see the change.

As for the wrinkles, you can do some stretching exercises around the areas where you see the wrinkles. Always have a cheerful look with a smile that will enhance your beauty and also reduce wrinkles in the long run. Do not constrain your forehead much as that will make the wrinkles worse and the lines visible very prominently.

Good luck!!!

Q: I am 35 years old Indian working in Saudi Arabia for the last 14 years in Secretarial & Administrative, Material Management Jobs. I have good communication skills including correspondence and also proficient in Microsoft application and have good working knowledge in SAP. My problem is my educational qualification; I have failed in Pre – Degree then I couldn’t complete it. Since I came in Saudi Arabia I have been trying to join a graduation course under distant education scheme, but couldn’t succeeded in completing it because examination schedules never match with my vacation period. However I have completed two Diploma Courses in Materials Management, one from India and the other from UK under distant education. Please advice me on two things, one any valid graduation course which I can study while I work in gulf. Second, I need a job also at the same time, I have good experience and knowledge, and good attitude towards work, but my educational qualification is dragging me back. What is the best possible approach for looking a better job within my limitation. Please give me some suggestions.
-- Joseph Chacko, India Sep 12 06
A: Dear Mr. Joseph, There is nothing to be worried about at all. You can browse the following site:www.ignou.ac.in… for more details as to the distance education. The only criteria is that Ignou should be having a tie up arrangement with some institute in the Gulf region(ie. where you are currently placed now). Most distance learning programmes of reputed universites and institutes hold exams in the centers where they have tie up arrangement itself. Try contacting the local institutes for such information.

Your diplomas holds good. Your material management diploma will hold good for any logistics division in any sector mainly private sector companies. Also, since you have good working knowledge in SAP, this will go hand in hand with any logistics department. You can sharpen your areas in SAP further, which has bright career opportunities.

Good luck!!!

Q: Your Tips on Making Good Chapattis is well written. You have not written about the flame / fire characteristics for cooking chapathis, that is also important please add. Next the cooking TAVA (Ideal one-with details of material of tava, size of tava) can AMC German make tava's be used. how it should be for the best chapathi / Pulka. lastly the rolling be done with least wheat powder, and cooking be done with no oil / grease. Hope to receive your reaction / suggestion.
-- VenkateshaMurth, Bangalore Sep 12 06
A: Dear Mr. murth, The fire should neither be too low nor too high. It should be in the medium flame. As for the cooking tava, you can use any non-stick tava of normal or medium size for this purpose. If you are making Pulka type, make the roti with the rolling pin. Care should be taken that the middle portion should not be too thin as when you cook it, it will become very crispy. So, all the corners should be a bit thick. When you are making pulka, you need not add ghee or oil in the beginning when they are being cooked. You can smear ghee at the end. See that both the sides are little brown in colour. Once they are brown, take it from the tava and keep it on the fire directly with the same flame turning now and then. You can see it becoming puffy. Then remove from the fire and apply ghee on both the sides.

Usually, there is no need to use either oil or ghee when making chapatis. You just have to mix one tea spoon of oil while mixing the dough in the beginning for the flour to be soft.

Good cooking!!!
